You know, The Village Coffee & Co, is a great little place to call in for delicious food and coffee.

A quick search of Google found this appropriately rated establishment in the heart of Ashurst!

We were greeted warmly by welcoming staff, who answered the usual menu questions we had, but really this place is well laid out, and they have dinner night Friday 5 - 8pm. If their dinners are as nice as their cabinet food then that would be a treat indeed.

My ham and cheese croissant was heated perfectly and the cheese scone was the best Anne had tasted, outside of her own of course, and we shared a fine ingredient Florentine slice with my coffee.

Lovely cafe great coffees and the food selection is good. I liked that you automatically served the one cake with two cake forks. That showed understanding and care. We had sultana cake and a sausage roll. Sausage roll tasted good but it had fairly obviously been reheated in a microwave and the pastry was consequently both soggy and tough. It was really disappointing. Maybe an airfryer would sort that problem out if you don’t have an oven on. I plan on returning to see if this has been improved in a month or so. We recently had a group lunch at Village coffee & co with old school friends from the 1960s, and it was a great experience. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, and the food was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for a reunion, with plenty of space for us to chat and enjoy ourselves. Everyone in our group was impressed with the service and the overall experience. We couldn't have chosen a better spot, and we’ll definitely be back for future gatherings....
