Altitude 720 Cafe — Restaurant in South Island

We went there to have a cup of coffee. Ordered a Latte and a iced coffee and were given one of those electronic notifiers. There were lots of staff at the premiss, 5 or 6 in total and the place wasn’t that busy. We watched different guys rearranging the coffee ordering slips on top of the coffee maker, one guy without mask repeatedly scratching his head and then handling foot items. After waiting for about 15 minutes, we thought our stuff is ready now, but the cups were given to some people next table, ordering their stuff after we had ordered ours. ​My rating of two stars is solely for the ambiance of the open fire and the nice staff. Regrettably, the food at Altitude 720 Cafe was an absolute letdown. We found it drastically overpriced for its quality; the kebabs tasted like reheated supermarket items, the pie was below average, and the fries were nothing special considering the cost. Warning! It was a piece of plastic in our pizza which my children could’ve easily chocked on had I not noticed it 😡 Kids were very hungry so they ate, but it’s not a place where you go if you had other cafes nearby. What a shame as decor of the cafe is very nice and it’s cozy but food is rubbish...
