Delightful, cosy little spot on freezing winter night. Went to New Orleans Hotel to watch rugby test but it was very loud and full to overflowing with ardent rugby fans. The atmosphere was not at all welcoming as we came in 5 mins after kick off and were abused! So walked along the road and found this gem of a place tucked away on a side lane. Our lamb shanks and chilli prawn tacos were delicious - full of flavour and nicely presented. Our bubbly and beer were reasonably priced. Watched the rugby by the fire and chatted to some lovely, friendly people. Bar staff and waitress were super. I used to live in Arrowtown so it’s a very special place for me. 💕 PS I rated it 5 stars across all categories but it’s come up with 4....
Read moreThis place is awesome! Came with a friend just for a quick drink and wound up staying all night trying all their creative cocktails. We ordered a few of their food dishes and wow! We were so impressed. It's fine dining quality and presentation but very reasonably priced! The tuna crudo and brisket sliders were standing ovation worthy and I can't wait to go back and get them again. The atmosphere and all the fires makes you want to stay forever and the service is impeccable. Definitely the spot to be while in Arrowtown....
Read moreLoud Drunk females at 7pm, Not worth eating here, food was cold, under cooked and honestly left us feeling ill afterwards. Ordered Lamb and Rump. Lamb had to be sent back to be reheated (20min) later comes back just not even worth eating. Plating was average. If you need a last minute resort / cheap meal maybe recommend but not worth the money. Maccas is better
