Absolutely shocking. This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We waited 50 minutes for our meals (including a kids meal) and when we called our teenage waiter (Oliver) over to ask what was going on after 40 minutes he was SO RUDE to us. We pointed out tables that had arrived and ordered after us that were half way through their meals, and he made a snarky remark insinuating it was my fault!!! Not one apology or accountability. When the food arrived it was stone cold, we couldn’t be bothered complaining or returning it because our 3 year old was starving and we just wanted to leave. Our waiter never came round throughout the experience to ask if we wanted more drinks, never gave us water, and never asked us how our meals were. If the owner wants to employ kids that’s fine but at least provide basic training. We are both ex-waitstaff ourselves and understand the pressures but this was beyond acceptable. We didn’t wait to speak to the manager because he was no where to be seen. We try so hard to support local businesses but we will never go back and suggest...
Read moreYeah... righto, so I have been to many, many Lonestars over the past 20+ years, but this was my first time to Rolleston.
It wasn't all doom and gloom that's for sure but I'll list our observations first:
Brrrr. If your customers are keeping their jackets on, it's a little cold team. Warm us up. Desert spoons...too much 'flex' when you get into that biscuit base...just sayin. Test it and you will understand. Oh, my favorite desert ever at Lonestar has always been the "Legendary Longhorn Cheesecake"... so I always get that. Umm, what was served wasn't Legendary. Almost gelatin like and zero Moro.... sorry, that's the facts there. Robot! Robot? Food delivered by a noisy Robot that your staff needed to follow to serve from Robot to your table anyway. Ditch the Robot... you're better than that. If you don't ditch the robot, at least ditch the childish music it plays...leave that for the home of the 'happymeal'.
I think your staff were generally pretty good, so zero comment from me there. Give them praise.
Bugger about...
Read moreSorry team but we won’t be back again anytime soon and we’ve been coming for years to lone star . You’ve change your lunch menu and it certainly is not for the better. Prices have increased and potion sizes have decreased or food is no longer included with the meal. Bear in mind the menu states “stack” of ribs - I got 3 ribs! I would not call this a stack. Your old menu use to come with wedges, not anymore you’ve got to order these separately. My partner had your chicken wrap and there was hardly and chicken on it, more of a salad wrap. Your kids meals also no longer come with the free dessert. Also your kids menu is not on the lunch menu but on the dinner menu…… came away very disappointed and felt well and truly out of pocket for...
