Title: Indian Cuisine Disappointment
I recently visited a local Indian restaurant with high hopes for a delightful culinary experience. While the location and ambiance were promising, my passion for good food led me to share a candid review of my visit.
Upon arrival, the service was commendable, setting a positive tone. Excited about my choices, I ordered Dahi Bhalla and half tandoori chicken. However, the excitement quickly turned to disappointment.
The Dahi Bhalla, upon arrival, shocked me with its poor taste and haphazard presentation. It seemed as though someone had carelessly assembled the ingredients on a plate, making it the worst Dahi Bhalla I've ever had.
The tandoori chicken didn't fare any better. Despite the restaurant's appealing exterior, the chicken lacked the authentic tandoori flavor and succulence. Cutting through a seemingly hard layer revealed a dry interior, indicating it had likely been prepared hours before – a stark departure from the freshness one expects from a good tandoori chicken.
In response to my complaint, the Tandoori chicken was replaced with chili chicken. While this alternative was acceptable, it did little to salvage the overall dining experience.
On a positive note, the service remained a standout aspect of the establishment. The manager attentively listened to my concerns and promptly offered a replacement. Despite the culinary letdown, the staff remained polite and composed under pressure.
In conclusion, while the service was a redeeming quality, the lackluster quality of the food, particularly the Dahi Bhalla and tandoori chicken, leaves much to be desired. I hope this feedback serves as constructive criticism, encouraging improvements for a more satisfying dining experience...

Edit : within one hour after I submitted the review , owner responded saying they're not responsible for this as they were only notified that the booking was made shortly after the intended time for the dinner service . However we have checked that restaurant was advertised as open on the booking date , and the fact that we traveled all the way there from christchurch with not even any acknowledgement that they advertised the wrong information on the website is clearly unacceptable and misleading . Also if owner has the time to respond to this within short time then clearly they are working , just not attending to guests bookings which is clearly contradictory as then there would be no reason to assume that they are not aware of the booking. After the response from the owner I would change my initial rating from 1 star review to negatives if possible . Clearly irresponsible reply...

I'm not sure if they're trying to give the customers a heart attack but this amount of oil is a health and safety issue.
When I emailed the manager about this I only got the reply 'I have told the chef and we made a mistake'. I had no offer of a replacement or reparation. If I'd known this would be the case I would have just come straight to a 1 star review.
Considering in all other negative reviews they state to email them before leaving a review.....this just goes to show how much this place has gone down hill since they changed from Little India. Atleast little india was good quality and had standards.
As stated below in their reply we did communicate via email but no offer of refund or replacement was offered. If they did try to contact me for a second time after we communicated the first time then they got my email address wrong...
