I have been going to Millbrook on and off for dinner for over 20 years.

Well there has been some change. The evening started with an avocado and cucumbers entree which was superb in taste and innovative but for half an avocado and at a cost of $27 it was outrageously expensive

For the main I ordered the fillet steak at $42. So the steak comes out in the centre of a massive plate and then they pour gravy over it. There was also a side plate of fancy 4 zucchini and that was that. No carb in sight

My wife asked for a cooked salmon not just marinated which came out raw in the centre. If she wanted sushi she would have asked for it. It would have been so much better if there was some starch - the humble potatoes/rice or something else

Deserts were fine. I had a glass of wine

We left hungry and disappointed. And $155 the poorer. The artisan approach to food is really only good for the wealthy few on a diet.

The evening followed by Vogels...

Have eaten here before and enjoyed it, however this time not so much. It was a little hard to decipher the entrees from the mains as they were all similar prices. I opted for the smoked salmon entree, and it came out all diced up and covered under various ingredients which hid the tiny amount of actual salmon, as well as overpowered the flavor. Main was snapper which was nicely done, however it was the tiniest piece of fish I think I've ever been served as a main. Literally about a 1/4 of what you would normally receive at a high end restaurant. No sides were on offer. The 2 deserts on offer didn't appeal, and so I left feeling still hungry and very unsatisfied! Not cheap either. Won't be...

Spend around $420 for a meal for 2 people with drinks.

While Millbrook is the pioneer in food taste in Queenstown and arrowntown, the portions was way too small, my side and my entree was bigger than my main. I order a $60+ in a fillet and it came with 4 tiny pieces (it was delicious though).

Service & food taste are great but no point goint to a restaurant if you have to order Pizza after because you and your date still hungry. Because it failed to meet this fundamental food criteria while charge above premium, its lots 3 stars to my eyes.

FYI... I've been to every single fine dining restaurant in Queenstown and this is still the...

This was one of our most memorable dinner experiences while visiting Queenstown. The staff was knowledgeable and able to accommodate not only dietary restrictions but also preferences for any dish. We opted for the chefs tasting and the chef did a superb job. The dishes were unique, flavourful and beautifully plated. We were informed that the kitchen uses ingredients from the garden on site which is the most farm to table one can get.

We ordered the chef menu at the night. The restaurant is focusing on organic and natural foods which they did a great job. But the the tastes is not well combined. The taste of each dish feel little bit boring and the combination of those dishes are just not work for me. The other problem is the temperature, the kitchen temperature might be little bit high, cause our cold soup are not in the right temperature when served.

We booked via the internet and got an early table. It was a beautiful evening and we had a table outside. We had a superb meal here with great service from Shaun and his team. They made one of the meals vegetarian with thoughtfulness and skill. We loved each of the courses and sitting outside by the lake was extra special. Highly recommended.
