Songkran Thai Takeaway — Restaurant in South Island

As this place has recently started opening for lunches we popped in to try their specials. Priced between ten and fifteen bucks, the lunch menu changes every month it seems and had a nice variety of choices on it. The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The food is served in takeaway boxes which is fine. They are primarily a takeaway. We just happened to park ourselves at the table inside which seats about six.

We all enjoyed what we ordered. Nicely cooked veggies and meats with tasty spice and ample rice for a lunch.

What a treat to have such reasonably priced and authentic Thai food in the neighbourhood. We get takeaways from here around once a month and they never disappoint. I was so excited to try the new Thai place so went in and ordered 1 noodle dish and one stir fry meal. At 20 bucks a pop what surprised me most is the tiny container you get barley enough for 2. Then the food, what a disappointment. One half filled with overcooked prawns and full of watery sauce. The other burned noodles. Won't ever be back here again. 40 bucks ill...
