The three of us were excited to find a restaurant open on a Monday night in Hawera. This place did not disappoint! Easy parking outside, wonderful service, unique decore inside & lovely views outside, amazing Indian authentic curries & starters. A basket of warm papad (courtesy of Zaika - thank you Zaika) was brought to us to munch on whilst we made the arduous decision of what to eat. A curry & rice on it's own is enough for one person, but of course we had to add starter each and garlic naan from the temptingly written menu. There was enough food for four hungry people. Very very good food. I'm from America and this is definitely different than American Indian food, but it is still quite delicious in it's own way. Try the garlic naan, it was so succulent. Also the prices are quite decent. The service was really slow but I have noticed that pretty much everywhere New Zealand it's like that. Since there are no tips the servers just kinda go at their own pace. This is also got kind of confused when we tried to do any edit to the order.
