Brand new location. I am a father of 1year old and 4years old with fulI time job I dont normally write reviews on restaurants if you know what I mean.
We tried peko peko couple of years ago when they are on the street next to Passion Fruit in a shed, no complaints at that time so we decice to visit the new peko this week. First impression, simply No parking it seems like due to $3.99 brand new PizzaHut next to it and construction site nearby so you have Find parking behine the building when there are Towing warning sinages everywhere. Once you are inside the peko, you are expected to pay over $48.99 Easily i.e 2people with 2bentos just like fine dining restaurant, dont be fooled by casual dining.
Food. Awful, the Miso soup is SWEET I thought I have ordered a Latte!! (staff says it is their recipe) Bento bowl has meat, lettuce, rice and a lot of Mayo just dull& plain..... We seriously had to stop by takeaway on the way home We live in the area but will stay away...
Read moreAmazing! We went there to celebrate my birthday and I have no regrets. Food was AMAZING: I had the tempura veges, and they themselves tasted really nice, with side dishes having delicious but different from each other flavours, and it was just enough food + 1 side dish to fill me up comfortably. Staff and customer service was OUTSTANDING. They would replace things if they emptied, or if chopsticks were dropped, and they were eager to talk with us about Japan and how we all miss it, and it was an overall very welcoming experience To top it off, after it being my birthday was in a conversation, they gave me a slice of cake free of charge when I wasn't expecting anything. The only problem I have is the decoration, however that should NOT be what you're bogged up on, and it is no where near enough to stray the rating from 5 stars
I cannot recommend this...
Read moreCouldn't recommend Peko Peko more! The owner is the sweetest lady and all the staff are as equally friendly and attentive.
I had a beautiful birthday dinner here on Friday night with my partner and as always the food was absolutely divine! The highlights: the panko crumbed mushrooms, the karaage chicken bao, the beef tataki and the vegetarian grain dumplings served with the salmon. Those dumplings were just so mouth-wateringly good I'd highly recommend going in to just a whole plateful - both your heart and soul will thank you as you can tell everything is made with such care and love.
Thank you so much again Peko Peko for exceeding expectations and delivering the most delicious Japanese food on a reasonable budget! Feel so lucky to be able to call Peko Peko a great local eatery one Hobby Pointer can always rely...
