Ate this week for the second time here and will be the last! Birthday dinner ruined! 7.15pm on a quiet Monday night and not too many other patrons so we thought we wouldn’t have to wait long for service – WRONG!! Shocking service (no service) last night. I asked where the table was I the staff member motioned with her finger – we then sat down and waited to have our drinks order taken, I gave up waiting then got up and asked for a drink menu and said we want to order drinks, no water on the table either. I then had to chase them down again to take our food order; I ordered the Mexican Chicken burger with Aioli to accompany the fries (extra $2). Someone in our table ordered the tandoori Pizza, and then someone came after and said they had run out of Banana.

We got a bit worried when we kept seeing orders flying past us being delivered to tables that ordered after us, after an hour (8.30pm) we where told that she had to apologize that she had not got our order in and do we want to wait, she was then asked how long we will have to wait and we where told 15-25mins and that she will discount the mal and bring 2 bowls of complimentary fries while we where waiting (looking back this is when we should have left), one bowl of fries at the same time as the meals which slowly started coming close to 9pm, everyone else had their meals and then a Cajun chicken salad came and I thought – Oh no, I bet they have my meal wrong – so I said no I ordered the burger.

By this stage I was fuming, we had no body taking drink orders, and I had lost my appetite so I said to cancel the burger as I did not want to wait, he then yelled to the kitchen “forget it she does not want it now” and then he said “well its nearly done now so too late”.

Oh and be sure to check your bill prior to paying! I paid my bill (so I could leave as soon as everyone had finished eating) and noticed later that 2 large pizzas where charged at full price $27 each, even though we ordered the 2 large Pizza deal for $45 – so over charged $9 and then when the chicken burger did arrive of course it did not have the Ailoli with it that I had paid $2 for so up to $11 overcharged, I was given a $25.43 discount so after this we only actually got a discount of $14.43.

Also when my guests where eating the very late meals they started turning the lights out! We would have been gone earlier if they had cooked our orders sooner – GGrrr.

I don’t think that staff had not had any training as they where all looking confused, and would scatter and quickly depart when you went to the bar. It is staffed by students who are friendly enough, but really don’t give a toss. There doesn’t seem to be anyone there who cares to take responsibility

Went there for lunch yesterday with my daughter and her dad. We walked in off the street and was approached from the loveliest young lady that worked there. She greeted us with a friendly welcoming warm smile and led us to our table. After reclining at the table, she left us to ponder through the menu to decide what we felt like eating. (All the dishes in the menu made it difficult to decide, as they were all appealing to the imagination). The waitress approached our table and was asked if we could have 5 more minutes to decide. After 5 minutes, she quietly returned to take our orders. My daughter ordered the Chicken burger, her dad ordered the fish and chips and I ordered the Open Steak Sandwich. I will say this; my steak was cooked to perfection, with the right amount of searing on all sides and the the tenderness of the meat melted in my mouth with every bite. My chips were cooked nicely, not too dry or overly saturated in the fat they were cooked in. There was the right amount of salad on my plate that made the whole experience of eating this fine meal enjoyable. But the highlight of the dish for me was the cute little dish of the aioli, that I could dip my knife into and swipe a gorgeous dose of sauce on my fork, or dip the ends of the chips into, or to break off tiny pieces of the focaccia bread and dip that into it. Every bite was as good as the one before. The only reason why I’m giving two stars is purely for service - super disappointed as a local and come here often I feel taken advantage of - I paid $10 extra on both pork belly meals to have extra stuff as the meals come so small and these are mains to be charged extra for what exactly ? I didn’t get any extra broccoli or mash - I paid $100 total for two small pork mains and 4x small cokes . Extremely over rated my wife cleaned her plate before me and we left hungry and not satisfied . Cheese cake I was told was still on the menu when I made my booking to be told they no longer do it anymore once we had finished our dinner - I can’t fathom removing off a staple dessert and it’s still showing it’s on the menu on your website . Service was exceptional from brunette & blonde girl , But unfortunately we will not be returning which is very sad to say as this...
