The Red Fort Indian Restaurant & Bar — Restaurant in Upper Harbour

It's so sad that I have to rate this establishment with one star because the food is of the best Indian foods. I'm a local and this restaurant is our once weekly go-to spot to buy our curries and biryani. Unfortunately, tonight was the last straw. A few months ago, my husband called in an order to collect. He was told it would take 15 minutes and when he arrived, he was asked to wait what turned out to be another 15 minutes. Last Thursday, I called in an order just before leaving work to collect on my way home. I was told it would take 20 to 25 minutes. I gave them 25 minutes and when I arrived, my order had not been placed yet. It was written on a piece of paper and left on the counter. I waited another 25 minutes. This evening 3 of my girlfriends and I decided to have a dine in meal. I also ordered a take out meal. Food was great but when it was time to pay, I told the guy behind the counter that we are splitting the bill and proceeded to tell him what my order was. I was told it was different prices for take out and dine in. I had no problem with that and wanted to give my order again but was ignored and he moved onto to my friend who stated her order then paid. I came in today, 2nd August 2025, and honestly, I just had to leave a review because the experience was that good.

Right from the moment I walked in, the staff were so welcoming and friendly. You could tell they actually cared about making sure we were comfortable and happy. Service was fast, smooth, and super polite. It’s rare these days to see people go the extra mile, but the team here really did — and it made a big difference.

Now about the food — wow. I’m not even exaggerating when I say everything was so fin’ good*. Packed with flavour, cooked perfectly, and served hot and fresh. Every bite just hit the spot. You can tell the kitchen takes pride in what they do, because the quality was honestly next level. I wasn’t even that hungry when I walked in, and still ended up eating way more than I expected — it was that tasty.

I don’t usually write long reviews, but this place deserves it. The service, food, and vibe all came together perfectly. I’ll 100% be coming back and definitely recommending it to friends.

The food was outstanding – full of authentic flavors, perfectly spiced, and beautifully presented. The curries were rich and aromatic, the naan was soft and fresh, and every dish tasted freshly prepared with high-quality ingredients. Portion sizes were generous, and the menu offered a great variety for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians.
