The location was fantastic, it has a beautiful setting with ample indoor and outdoor seating, surrounded by grapevines. It was also conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the hop on hop off bus stop. It offered cool activities like archery and sandbag throwing. However, my experience was ruined by the disengaged and uninterested manager. We preferred outdoor seating, but instead was ushered inside. We purchased wine tastings and food, but there was no commentary provided for the tastings, and the burger I ordered was excessively salty, overpowering other flavours. Despite my dissatisfaction, I finished the meal due to hunger and timing. Another staff member who delivered the food was friendly and courteous. When I expressed my disappointment to the staff member handling payment, she was apologetic and attempted to communicate my concerns to the manager, who appeared disinterested and ignored her. I suspect she intended to either reduce the bill or waive the food cost, but it was too late as I had already paid. Unfortunately, this experience has deterred me from returning, despite the winery's other positive aspects and the quality of the wine itself.

We stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered the salmon and also one of the pizzas - sausage and cilantro. My husband tried one of the drinks - the Pimms, which he loved - local ginger beer was one of the ingredients. The salmon was AMAZING - served cold which was super refreshing on a hot day. It was atop a bed of coarsely blended peas and fresh beets, and had lemon creamed ricotta - topped with micro greens and spiralized beets. SO GOOD. The pizza was also great and was served on a wooden board. Service was okay - our sever was either new or not very well educated on the menu. She was unable to describe dishes in detail but everything was so good and we weren’t in a rush. There were some lawn games and archery - but the archery cost a lot per person so we skipped. Very cute setting with lots of outdoor seating!

We had an incredible experience at Wild Estate on Waiheke Island! The food was absolutely phenomenal – we ordered the roast for two, and honestly, it could’ve easily fed three or four people. Every bite was delicious and beautifully presented. The wine was equally amazing, with a great range to suit all tastes. What really stood out was how family-friendly the whole place is. We have three children, and the staff went out of their way to engage with them. Between archery, clay shooting, the playground, cornhole, and more, the kids were constantly entertained, which meant we could relax and enjoy the experience too. A truly fantastic day out for both adults and kids – we’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Waiheke.

Our work team of 23 visited Auckland for a Team Building Trip and did a day trip to Waiheke Island and Wild Estate and it was fantastic! Sheryl was super helpful and communicative when booking which took a lot of stress off me as she ensured the ferries and transfers were taken care of!

We booked in for the Wild Woozy activities but due to the strong wind and rain it was not safe or practical to do the archery or laser clay bird shooting - HOWEVER the team had a great backup plan for us and we were not disappointed at all! Nacho and Lewis were our games masters and they were organised, energetic, hilarious and made the experience 10/10! We are a loud and rowdy group but they worked so well with us and matched our energy! Very thankful for their hard work in keeping us thoroughly entertained with the backup plan - I forgot it was even a backup plan!

We played games in their downstairs area which was big, decorated well, clean and very comfy! The whole venue is stunning and impressive, I would definitely come back if I'm lucky enough one day! Highly recommend Wild Estate to anyone visiting Waiheke Island :)

Also - Shoutout to our transfer driver Anthony! On time, So friendly and knowledgeable about the island! Great first impression of the venue as soon as we got off the ferry...

Saturday 29th May was my 2nd time to Wild on Waiheke, and again my experience was below average. This was our winery trip for a celebration and out of the 3 wineries we visited , Wild on Waiheke was by far the worst experience! Even though we arrived 10 mins earlier than expected, the venue was not ready for us i.e. tables, wine tasting, our activities were cancelled because eof the weather but no alternatives were offered until we said we'll use the money on the bar. Our party of 22 had to lift and arrange our own tables in the basement! Our host/Manager was RUDE, a young "obnoxious Australian", his own words! His introduction was rude and condescending and took everything in our power to stay calm! Like come on, we were customers, paying for your services and products! We weren't little kids and we had followed all the instructions given to us by your emails. So it was raining, but they had no back up plan! Come on, this was not the first rainy day in Waiheke! We are in Auckland! Where was your continuity plan? We felt like the wine tasting was dragged out and we had to wait 20mins! Needless to say, we...
