Thai SaWasDee Restaurant & Takeaway. — Restaurant in Waikato

Went with our children. We waited nearly two hours for our mains... despite being told at the one hour mark that it was on the way, "just being plated". The food was very average and came with very little meat.

Despite waiting nearly two hours they charged us extra for a single serving of white rice. We asked for a refund for strawberry milk which was past it's best before date. Even that was a back and forth headache.

They brought orders to other tables that arrived after us, and appeared to be prioritising takeaway orders. They had two teenagers running the front of house. The girl was run off her feet and clearly had a tough job serving a restaurant full of irritated customers. One table of five left after an hour as their orders hadn't even been taken.

In short, the service was atrocious and no effort was made for us to feel a little less bad about it. And the food...well, we could have done the same quality...

You are a rude person and I would not want to eat at your restaurant ever again. I eat out at Thai restaurants regularly so I know what I am talking about. You did not explain your menu in regards to rice. We had 3 entrees and you bought out the main dish at the same time. I can afford to eat out weekly and your comment is not appropriate. I am not familiar with your money and was making sure I gave you the right amount. You have a very nicely decorated establishment pity the food does...

One of the best decors in a restaurant that I've been to. But we were getting takeaway. It took 25mins and they had estimated 15mins. This was the first Thai restaurant that I've been asked if I wanted mild medium or hot and I thought that was great. They didn't have a great vegetarian selection but the staff were fabulously accommodating and creative. The chilli and garlic vegetable dish was delicious and the rice fluffy and slightly sticky and oh so yum. Shame about the...
