Chicken Shack - Mungavin — Restaurant in Wellington

Edit: looks like they've fixed a lot of the issues I've had here portioning and food quality was all over the place but now it's been good. This place is sort of a hit or miss can be good or bad at times but when it's good it's really good. Been loving the food recently I'll be honest it's not the best I'd go elsewhere for fish or so on but their chips, burgers, chicken especially chicken nibbles, and sometimes Chinese are the best and my go to for those for sure

Poor service, okay food, poor portioning. Wait 15min for food ask how long it's gonna be, be told it's coming, wait another 15min just to be told they forgot to even cook it after another 10mins finally get it just for it to be portioned wrong and half your order missing. The chinese food portioning has been terrible recently don't even full it half, acting as if this is some 5 star restaurant not a takeaways and if they decide to give you a nicer portion they'll give you 95% noodles and rice never been to a place this bad before. Had little sweet and sour and instead of just giving a normal serving he decides to try and portion it out giving a few pieces to go with just rice and noodles. We had the guy in green who always wears a hat , and we asked for fresh chicken and chips , that didn't somehow come to his head so he had gotten this old lady who does the burgers, she was being alright at first and then slowly after that she started being rude , when we said we wanted chips with our chicken she was like "ugh" , cause she had thought we just wanted chicken even though we said we wanted CHICKEN and CHIPS , after it all , she said it would take 25mins , but then gave it to us like wayyy earlier than 25mins , I'd say 10mins , when she gave it to us, she gave this dirty look ... the chips, they were freshly cooked but then we checked out the chicken and it looked like it was reheated and it wasn't even fresh , THATS just very poor customer service right there, no hate to the guy who always wears white though HES a legend , but the other 2 need to learn how to be more...

Was amazed at the at the open hours of this specific fast food restaurant, Never have I ever seen a fish and chip place open till 02:00.

Must say though, shop quality was alright, with difficulty understanding staff. Food was cheap and more affordable than many other places. Quality of food was outstanding and would definitely visit again.

Might be a little wait considering how late it's open too, But well worth... although food didn't actually take that long surprisingly. very much recommended to any fast food/ Fish & Chip go'er...
