Great little deli hidden in Karori. I visited for the first time at 8am on a Saturday morning. Counter staff were warm and informative, and the food offerings were impressive. I ordered a chai and poached eggs on sourdough, and was told the chai was their own blend. Not sweet or spicy. Regardless I tried it. I wouldn't call it chai, but I took that risk. Needed sugar and more flavour in my opinion. The eggs however - perfect! I'm fussy about poached eggs. The white must be completely cooked and the yoke runny. I'd given up on cafes making them that way would ask for well done. This chef knew exactly what I meant and I had to celebrate with an internal happy dance. Cooked to perfection!
