Coffee Cave has the best coffee in the Hutt Valley most days.
They grind a wide and changing variety of single origin coffees, and press them to perfection with top quality equipment. They grind decaf fresh, which is a big thing for those of us who can't handle caffeine - pre-ground coffee tastes like dishwater, and that's what they serve for decaf in most cafes in the Hutt.
The service is all time - friendly, efficient, personal. Come to the Cave for a few days in a single week and Hayden and the team will get to know your name and your order pretty quick. The music is great, the decor and cups are great.
The only possible thing to pick on is that there isn't much seating, but thats really no-one's fault. Just come buy lots of coffee and hopefully one day they'll have the business case to move...

For what it’s worth, I recon the “coffee 2 go” banner out the front makes it look like a place that’s not going to do good coffee - a bit tacky or something. Better to stick with the “ozone” branding or just have a sign that says “coffee” in a less garish way.
I just hope there’s a critical mass of customers to keep him afloat given he’s outside of the usual go-to...

I ordered my customary soy latte and it was excellent. They stock Ozone coffee and are the first cafe in Wellington to use this proud Taranaki brand.
