The menu spans a plethora of delicacies, catering to a wide and diverse palette. The star of the show was the restaurant's namesake sandwich – the Big Salami. The fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, combined with a well-curated selection of bread, cheeses, and special sauces, took the humble salami sandwich to unprecedented heights. Read moreI would like to share me experience today, after visiting the BIG SALAMI COFFE SHOP in plimmerton Wellington with my wife and little child. After ordering some food, one of the items we have ordered (A smoothie) was soo sweet that you can't drink it. I took the item back and it was still full and requested from the worker on the counter to change the item for me. He went to ask his manager who refused to change it even with the worker going back to him three times to ask him.
I then asked to talk to the manager, who came out looking angry and unhappy. I asked him if you don't want to change it then give me a refund for the item, i have returned back to you. The manager not only refused to give me a refund, and to make things even worse he used a racist remarks by saying "People like you are not welcome in New Zealand". All this because of a smoothie worth $8.00 and because i am a Muslim. I didn't expect something like this to come from a manager which is a bad look for him and his business
Clearly this clown is not qualified for his position as a manager, because he couldn't comply with something as simple as customer satisfaction, used racest comments, told me i dont care about you coming back here again, and i dont care what review you put on me. In my opinion people like him shouldn't be in this country, or any one like him.
I am happy to say that what happened today has been reported to the police, and a full report has been given about the manager of the big salami cafe. I really hope that he gets delt with firmly and he gets...
Read moreA week before I gave birth, was craving pizza so we went back to Plimmerton where we’ve had good pizza a few times. After waiting over half hour and people coming after us already having their pizzas, we asked how much longer. After 45 minutes I received a burnt pizza, and asked if it could be redone. The waitress agreed it was burnt, but the old guy who makes the pizza came out and made a scene, in front of two children, saying this was how they make them, and he informed me I didn’t know what I am talking about (probably because I’m foreign). We pointed out the other four pizza’s weren’t burnt, and my husband explained that I was heavily pregnant. The old guy said he didn’t care and explained we weren’t welcome. He had the waitress give me a refund for the burnt pizza, then told us to leave. We had to take the other pizzas with us. It is the most appalling experience I have had in NZ, and we will...
