Really tasty well priced lunch options, epic pies, 5 star coffee and friendly staff. Had the bacon leek and potato soup for lunch. Divine. Sunny tropical garden out the back to chill out in.

We've stopped in to Freckles Cafe in Westport three times now on our way to and from Karamea and love the friendly atmosphere and the great 'home made food'. They definitely understand that Gluten allergies does not mean vegetarian and I absolutely adore the brownies! Meanest Gluten Free BLAT ever!

I can not comment on the pies apart from the fact that they are made on site and seem to be very popular.

Great café. Had a piece of GF cake that was yummy and a coffee. First coffee they brought me was not what I wanted. I took it back to counter and said that it wasn't what I thought I had ordered. The nice young man behind the counter happily took it back and made me what I wanted. Be aware, there is seating in back - outside in a garden area. I missed the sign that...

Walked in, food looked awful in cabinet, nothing looked fresh and the choices limited. The menu was a hodgepodge of random things and nothing sounded appealing.
