Overall? Absolutely freaking worth it. Highly recommend for lunch & dinner, not sure about breaky.
It’s CRAZY how delicious the food (12/10 for most foods) here is. Literally tried it the first time expecting it to be bland and disappointing as I usually find Fijian places in NZ (it’s that hard to find a place this great in NZ) and was so taken aback that we came back again the next day💀. Seriously amazing food. Flavours and the dynamic depth of flavours pop off and make you want to sing and cry bc you missed having this much flavour in your food (yep).
Best ceviche in all of Auckland imo, I could be biased but it really is that great. The chefs are incredibly talented and clearly love the art of food Bc I can’t say one bad thing about it. GREAAAT Fiji style BBQ that’s accurate af and possibly even better.
Service could be better (7.5/10) waitresses are friendly and sweet, but not sure if they’re nervous or new on the job-been there and I get it.
Coffees are expensive considering this is in Blockhouse Bay and not the CBD or higher range areas like Ponsonby/New Market. Could be bc they have to turn the coffee machine on if you order a coffee? Not sure but it is pricey...
Read moreMe and my partner went in for dinner. We had the chicken sweet corn soup, bbq and lamb fried rice. Chicken sweet corn was good. 1 serve is enough for 2 people as a starter 3.5/5. The bbq was very delicious and good portion size 5/5. The lamb fried rice was just blend, couldn’t taste any flavours at all and paying $24 you will expect a decent amount of lamb in that dish justifying the price. The lamb was dry and thin slices. It tasted like everything was just tossed in a wok and served. Lamb fried rice 1/5. We didn't complain as I thought Il pay first so the cashier doesn’t think that I want a discount after eating the dish and in my experience any where I went to dine in usually the cashier or the waitresses ask how was your experience or your food but in my case no such questions were asked and also the cafe itself is cosy and welcoming but the front of house staff...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, everything was amazing! For starters, we had the wok-tossed wings and sides of chilli dalo – absolutely full of flavour and a perfect way to kick things off.
For mains, we ordered a variety of dishes: the Fiji Style BBQ totally stole the show – juicy, smoky, and just bursting with that authentic island flavour! We also had the braised lamb shank, Fijian-style prawn curry, which we takeaway were all cooked to perfection with rich, comforting spices.
For the kids, we got sausages and chips, and they loved it! And the chilled milkshake was super thick, creamy, and the perfect treat to end the meal.
The food was not only delicious but very affordable. The service was friendly, and the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. Honestly, this place is a gem! Highly recommend to anyone craving real Fijian food with great...
