BIG BITE GRILL & CURRY HOUSE, INDIAN CUISINE. — Restaurant in Giginyu

This review based on our one time experience and one one dish.(8/3/25) It is a biriyani story, so please don't judge with other dishes. We ordered 1 chicken biriyani and one mutton biriyani. What we received was plain rice (some coloured) and chicken /mutton curry in biriyani bowls. If we want rice and curry why should we ordered biriyani. There was no biriyani spices no ghee and full of gravy. Also got one raitha even it was sweeter. First of all I was planning to have a biriyani after long time. I didn't eat biriyani after reach kano. So I took restaurant suggestions from my friends. They said 'Bigbite' is a good option compared to others in Kano. But It was totally a disappointed choice (may others are more worse). I was planning to complain to the manager but luckily one indian chef was passing through. I explained him the situation. He said if you want indian style or dham biriyani you should inform to waiter. Then they will inform kitchen. Otherwise they will do such a short cuts 🙄. It was a new information for me. Tip : 1. If you a good biriyani please tell them make it dham or add spices. If you are planning for rice and any meat curry please order biriyani it will save you money (1 chicken biriyani cost 10,000 naira. Saw this on here and decided to visit since i wasn't far from the place. Got there and saw a couple of menus non had Indian cuisine on it, ordered something because we were really hungry. Went for fried chicken and fries for #2000 naira and my friend ordered shawarma that was #1500. Yeah! Shawarma at an Indian restaurant 🤣 Anyway, got our orders, that's when i decided to ask, "how come you guys are an Indian restaurant but don't serve Indian food?" The attendant now told me "oh we do, just that the menu isn't posted like these other ones, we usually give out the menu to our VIP customers, in that room over there".
