Barrel Lounge — Restaurant in Ikeja

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Barrel is a typical example of restaurants that, rather than telling you don't have a certain item available, they bring you whatever they have or can make do with. I ordered a gin and tonic, I got a bitter drink that I suspect was lemon juice, water and gin. I ordered a half chicken, I got leftover chicken and they tried to sell it to me as "boneless half chicken". The menu says NOTHING about this half chicken being boneless and the waitress did not mention this at all. Apparently, people complained about the half chicken being "too bony"! HOW!?!?!?!? They obviously just wanted to serve me leftovers. Besides being served leftovers, the chicken was hard as beef, and it was very obvious that I was eating unwanted parts of this...

The barrel lounge is a very good one. I enjoyed my time there for a friend’s birthday celebration.

Our reservation was honored, and a server was attached to our table. The music policy was okay and since we used the outdoor section we could also watch the football match going on.

The food was great, the drink options weren’t the best but they were okay, there was enough parking space for us.

The indoor space had the live band and closed area.

Downside I had was having to always walk to the indoor space to use the restroom. Because of the arrangement, it was like all eyes were on you since you need to go through the band playing.

Went there on Monday to watch Chelsea match with a friend, there was only 4 people there watching football, nobody told us they want to close, they took our orders and took them over 30mins to bring it , that ok , suddenly while eating, they shut the generator off, everybody kept mute including whoever is leading them, after like 10mins we got tired of using our phones to see food wey we pay 21k to eat, if I actually didn't want to pay that money, dem go fight taya.. we paid and we left the salty soup and the noodles was like they forced the kitchen to cook .. nobody walked up to us to apologise.....
