Good quality amala and local Yoruba stews, however the quality of service is almost as bad as the food is good. The small minded servers have clearly not been trained in good service. The owner seems not to have muchbusiness sense, renovating the interior without changing the service style and mindset of staff.
For example, no matter how much amala you request, or how much meat or fish you buy, the servers will always give the same quantity of stew...and even at that, they appear to do so very reluctantly. This means that halfway through your meal, you are eating dry amala. They do the same with everything they serve. For crying out loud, increase the price or have clear standards of measurement + cost of extra soup if that is what is needed to ensure the customers are properly served.
Will not be going back in a long while, which is a pity for a place with...
Read moreI have eaten here and had take out from here many years ago when it was a simple bukka, now it seems like a confused restaurant/bukka or both. A spoon of rice costs N1000, beans is N800. I asked for Ofada sauce, was told its N2000 a spoon, thinking it would come with some meats and assorted stuff, to my surprise the sauce had like 2 tiny tiny pieces of shaki and 1 other tiny thing i couldn't recognise basically it was empty sauce . I had to then buy some regular meat which costs Nj500 per one, it was no bigger than what others sell for N200, this made me laugh, cos it definitely wasn't worth the N500. I definitely understood why the place was empty. Honestly the food wasn't bad, but I don't think this is a place i would visit again or...
Read moreI decided to give this place a try after a friend recommended the spot and claimed it was probably the best around the area.
I came in for the Amala ( you could google the name just Incase you are wondering what it is ) but unlike my usual Amala spots this one was indoor in a not so spacious hall.
I however placed an order for what I came for expecting to have the time of my life, the meal In My Opinion was nice but wasn’t the best of them all. The environment was neat and tidy even though a bit crowded and the staffs handled their jobs pretty efficiently.
I recommend you give it a try when hungry and in need of a local spot within the axis, hopefully your opinion might differ from mine. #resturant #amala #surulere, #bukka...
