⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
I visited Rufus & Angels Restaurant today with some friends for dinner, and overall, it was a good experience with a few areas that could be improved.
First, parking was a bit of a challenge. The restaurant doesn’t seem to have sufficient parking space, so many customers had to park along the street nearby. It wasn’t a major inconvenience, but it would definitely help if more designated parking could be provided.
When we got inside, the place was already packed, which speaks well of its popularity. Thankfully, there was additional seating upstairs that comfortably accommodated the crowd. I appreciated that the management thought ahead to ensure enough seating, even during busy hours.
We ordered the Chique Bites Platter, along with two Chapmans and two Sweet Passion cocktails. The waiter informed us that our food would be ready in about 20 minutes, but it ended up taking close to 40 minutes. While the delay was a bit frustrating, I really appreciated that the waiter kept coming over to give us updates. That gesture made me feel acknowledged and valued as a customer, which softened the wait.
When the food finally arrived, the platter looked very appetising. I liked the way the food was neatly spread out, making it easy to sample each part of the dish without it feeling cluttered. The drinks were another highlight—the taste was refreshing, and I especially liked that they weren’t watered down with too much ice. The balance was just right and amplified the overall dining experience.
Another positive point is the menu itself—it was detailed, clearly priced, and offered a wide variety of food and drinks. This made ordering very straightforward and transparent.
However, there were a few downsides worth mentioning. The restaurant lacked a nice, aesthetic spot for taking pictures. Considering that many customers (especially groups of friends) like to capture their dining experiences, having a dedicated photo-worthy corner or backdrop would make the atmosphere even more enjoyable. Additionally, the staff were not wearing name tags, which made it difficult to identify them individually. This is a small but important detail that could improve customer–staff interaction.
At the end of the night, our total bill came to ₦52,673.93 including VAT, which felt fair for the quality and quantity of food and drinks we received.
In summary, I would say Rufus & Angels is a good place to dine with friends. The food, drinks, and service were all good, and while there were some areas for improvement (parking, staff identification, and aesthetics), the overall experience was pleasant. I’d definitely recommend it, and I look forward to seeing how the restaurant enhances its offerings...
Read moreRubels and angels is that place you go to to get away from the world. It's on the busy Ogunlana Drive strip but you tend to forget that once you get in, it feels like you just shut out the world
Love the inscriptions on the wall, they put a lot of thought into it.
The space is properly managed, they have a smaller indoor space for mini parties, brunches or group dates, according to them it can sit about 30 people not really sure tho especially with social distancing 😷.
The little space under the stairway gives some privacy and you can see all that's happening from there.
It has to be their Icecream for me, so soft, so nice and the best part is they make it fresh. Had to wait a few minutes to get it but it was totally worth it. The vanilla with chocolate chunks icecream with a mix of dark and white chocolate chips was great. 🍦
However I kind of expected a better way to hold the cone, probably like a cardboard cone holder or something instead of plain tissue that gets messy the longer you hold the cone. Had to switch tissues like twice to avoid getting icecream on my clothes, it would have been a completely different story if I had taken it to go. Soiled would have been an understatement 😒
Parking is another problem. Their space can only accommodate about 5 cars or less I think. It's pretty small and trying to have a nice group date and everyone driving will be a problem.
Their customer service is beautiful; I'm a sucker for great customer service, it brings a better feel to the whole experience. Overall it was good. Had...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of visiting this cozy breakfast spot and indulging in their English breakfast menu, which included a delightful combination of pancakes, scrambled eggs, crispy chicken, and baked beans. The overall experience was quite enjoyable, and I commend them on the flavors and presentation of the dishes.
The pancakes were fluffy and had a lovely golden-brown exterior, making them a true treat to savor. The scrambled eggs were perfectly cooked, with a creamy texture and just the right amount of seasoning. I particularly appreciated the addition of crispy chicken, which added a delicious twist to the traditional English breakfast.
However, I would like to offer a small suggestion for improvement. While the milkshake accompanying the meal was flavorful, I found it to be a bit too runny in consistency. A thicker and creamier texture would enhance the overall experience and provide a more satisfying complement to the meal. Additionally, I noticed that the inside of the chicken could have been cooked a bit longer to ensure it was fully done.
Despite these minor observations, I want to emphasize that the overall quality of the breakfast menu was commendable. Their attention to detail in the presentation and flavors of the dishes showcased their commitment to providing a memorable dining experience.
I look forward to visiting this establishment again and discovering how they continue to refine...
