Papies meatro is the perfect blend of affordable dining, fun, relaxation and creativity.

It is divided into two sections, the first part is the open area, fitted with outdoor fans for comfort and beautifully decorated to give you that Lagos ‘outdoorsy’ feel.

The outdoor setting is suitable for group hangouts, couples, and anyone who is just looking to have fun, eat good food and mingle.

The menu is the most attractive part for me as it is affordable and every naira spent is worth it.

The menu has a wide range of meals, from grills to pasta etc, drinks, cocktails (alcoholic and non alcoholic), platters, that can be shared amongst groups, a breakfast menu and lots more and the most amazing thing is that you get your meal within 5-15 minutes of placing your order.

Papiees meatro provides ample recreational games like scrabble, card games, Ludo and also has strategically positioned screens that show football matches so there is no dull moment.

The staff are wonderful and very helpful, they are efficient and are well trained in hospitality and making customers comfortable.

The indoor section is more cozy and perfect for couples and customers who want a little more privacy, it is conducive, with comfortable seats, art and soft music playing in the background. This indoor section is recommended for proposals 💍, meetings and for anyone who just needs a little extra thing.

Papiees meatro is located in a calm and relaxed residential area in Yaba, it is in proximity to University of Lagos, Yaba college of technology, and Waec office.

Papiees meatro is very accessible from ikorodu road and it is also a straight road from Adekunle/Herbert Macaulay way, which links directly to third mainland bridge, so whether you are on the mainland looking for a regular spot or on the island looking for a serene place to chill, Papiees meatro...

I give this a one star because there isn't a zero or a negative First up, the chicken I ordered was not only getting spoilt like yesterday's food but was also tasteless, under cooked and still had blood in it when I opened it up.

The men's toilet was a disaster, the floor was sooo dirty, standing there alone was irritating, the wash basin was stuffed with used tissue paper, I couldn't bring myself to touch the tap handle as it was covered with so much grease and dirt.

So during the course of our stay, the person I went with accidentally collided with a waitress carrying a tray with two milkshakes, they insisted we pay for the two milkshakes, we said we would only pay for one as it was mistake on both their parts, they agreed. After settling our actual bill, we waited an extra 30mins so they would bring the bill for the one milkshake so we could pay and leave, but they didn't come. After the long wait, we decided to leave after our Bolt ride had arrived, but as we approached the gate the waitress chased us down to request that we pay for the two milkshakes after previously agreeing to collecting payment for one. I told her we waited for 30mins for them to come with the bill but no one came. As I made a move to sidestep her and leave she pushed me into the gutter in an attempt to stop me from leaving, the splash as I fell into the muddy water and my angry shouts got the attention of others around and the bouncers who came to see what was going on. After explaining to the manager, he agreed to let us pay for the one, but I only agreed to do so only after I was given something to clean up my stained feet. All in all, I'd say terrible customer service and personnel management.

Definitely never visiting again.

The food here tastes very good and very affordable but never go when you are hungry. You'd be disappointed.

The first visit there, I waited for about 30mins for my order. That didn't feel long enough because I went with a friend and we were gisting so I didn't notice the delay.

My second visit was a solo visit, I wasn't super hungry so I patiently waited.

My 3rd experience with this restaurant was the first time I placed an order. I won't even forget this in a hurry.

My payment and order was confirmed at 3:17pm and the food didn't get to me until 5:49pm.

First and foremost, I sent a message on WhatsApp at 2:14pm. The response was very slow. I had to keep calling. Management should please look into this and dedicate someone who would focus on online orders only.

I stay in Yaba and my house is roughly 10mins drive from the restaurant. When I was told that the dispatch guy had issues with his bike and he is presently at the mechanic so I have to wait longer. I couldn't believe my ears! After 2hrs wait. I gently told the lady to place a fresh order for me and send another dispatch or make a refund because I would not be here waiting for someone that I have no idea when he will be done fixing a faulty bike.

They might be overwhelmed with orders and customers but that shouldn't be an excuse for bad customer service and service delivery.

When I posted about this on my WhatsApp, a friend even shared his own negative experience.

That said, I have never been disappointed by the taste and portion of their meals. So the food is really good and that is why I will return.
