I have always seen images and videos of the City View and I was so excited to be visiting. Imagine my surprise when I found out I always pass the gate going for business around there and never suspected they were in there.

They share the place with the great Imperial Bakery (wonderful bread makers). So the City View finally!!! Quiet smaller than I anticipated. But beautifully arranged to accommodate guests.

So we got settled in and took our time with the menu. Chapman and water first to relax and expect the meal (no alcohol. Real sad). So we ordered bread and hummus (chickpea paste) and it was so good. First time trying it. When they said bread though, I saw huge loaves coming my way but too bad it was all air and felt like crackers. Maybe that’s the idea? 🤷🏿‍♂️.

Main dish was Garlic Steak and Chips and then my host had rice and chicken. To be honest, the meals were filling but I think I didn’t feel the steak and chicken well enough coz it was lacking something for me. I thought it wasn’t spicy enough so I dipped in the pepper sauce by the side and my o my!!! Never doing that again. So hot!!!

Anyways, it was a good experience. I’ll just suggest a few things: Make hand washing a priority and provide options asides the toilet for guests to wash their hands. I understand they are dealing with a close space but they toilets are small and close to the dining. Very neat toilet with essentials but if someone clogs that toilet by mistake then dining ends. Have other options for payment as the POS gave guests hell. Your staff need to keep it down a little and avoid shouting and barking orders everywhere.

In all things, it was the promptness for the meals, the bill was very decent, the food was filling and the ambience was great.

I also noticed they handled a lot of takeaway meals. People coming in numbers to pick up their orders and no one left disappointed or waiting too long. That’s great service there.

Kudos City View. I’ll be...

My husband raved about this place. So I was very excited to come. We ordered samosas, Chapman and a watermelon& pineapple Juice to start. The drinks and samosas were very tasty. The servers were very nice and welcoming.

For entrée we ordered a garlic steak with jellof rice and seafood fried rice with grilled fish. Both were not good and tasteless. I had to send my jellof rice back to change for chips. Because there is no way in this Nigeria. No way. This is how jellof rice can taste. The rice severely overcooked, the sauce was like pasta sauce. With a full staff of Nigerians… I just know the chef cannot be Nigerian. The seafood fried rice. Tasteless. We asked for a pepper sauce and the table had salt and black pepper. So I was able to add flavor to the dishes but I shouldn’t have to when visiting a restaurant. My garlic steak was a gravy based extremely tough piece of meat. Not a garlic sauce. The veggies were over cooked. We spent about 66k and ate what we could so it wouldn’t be a complete waste of money.

It saddens me to write this because he would say how good the place was and he couldn’t wait to bring me here. But it’s obvious...

In December 2024, I had a private business meeting at the Wuse branch located at Cape Town Street in Abuja and it was a truly warm experience. The restaurant offers a unique blend of Lebanese cuisine with a European twist, featuring both outdoor and indoor seating that creates a pleasant and inviting ambience.

The menu boasts a variety of great food choices. I enjoyed the chicken cream soup and rice, which were both delicious and well-presented. I also ordered a takeaway Sharwama, and my business partner opted for the Spaghetti Bolognese and chicken; both dishes were satisfying and flavourful.

The customer service was prompt and satisfactory, adding to the overall positive dining experience. The prices are reasonable.

One minor downside was the parking situation. The parking space on-site is a bit tight and may fill up quickly during rush hour. However, there is guided street parking available as an alternative.

Overall, City View Restaurant is highly recommended for anyone looking for great food, a cozy atmosphere, family friendly and...
