Wuse market It is one of the biggest markets in Abuja Nigeria. More like a reference point for other markets. Almost anything you need can be found here. It has both retail & wholesale stores. Many business people with shops in town come to buy & restock. It also has hairdressers, tailors, restaurants, toilets at different corners & local guides to show you specific areas where certain goods are sold. You can even find wristwatch repairers/battery sellers, and goldsmiths. Was surprised to see a guy who sells winter jackets, gloves and mufflers, for probably first time travellers abroad, who need to prepare themselves for the cold weather.

Well planned market. Operates public toilet system. There's water in the market. Financial institutions like conventional banks, cooperative, mortgage and microfinance banks. There's virtually nothing you're looking for that you can't get in Wuse. Spacious parking availability with outsource security personnel on the watch. On the other hand, no wifi. Some traders are building extensions, causing obstruction and human traffic. Waste bins are not sufficient. Restrooms are a bit clean and paid for but not sufficient.

The hub of commerce in Abuja. There's almost nothing you can't find here. Wuse Market is a large and bustling market in Abuja, Nigeria. It is one of the largest markets in the city and is a popular destination for both locals and tourists. The market sells a wide variety of goods, including food, clothing, electronics, and souvenirs. I recently had the opportunity to visit Wuse Market and was very impressed. The market is huge and there is something for everyone. I was particularly interested in the food section of the market, where I found a wide variety of Nigerian dishes to try. I also enjoyed browsing the clothing and souvenir stalls. One of the things I liked most about Wuse Market is that it is very affordable. I was able to buy a lot of souvenirs and food for a very reasonable price. The people at the market are also very friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great experience at Wuse Market and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Abuja. Here are some additional tips for visiting Wuse Market:

The market is open from 8am to 6pm, seven days a week.

The best time to visit the market is in the morning, when it is less crowded.

Be sure to bargain with the vendors. They expect it and are usually willing to negotiate.

Be aware of your surroundings and take precautions against pickpockets.

The market is very large, so it is a good idea to wear comfortable shoes.

Be sure to try some of the local food! There are many delicious Nigerian dishes to...

Wuse market appears to be the most central market in Abuja. It is simple, nice, neat, extensive and covers a large expanse of land in the heart of the city. Items sold here are a range. It includes virtually everything one can find in any open market in Nigeria, whether it is Onitsha, Kano, Lagos, Jos, Maiduguri etc. One interesting thing I like about wuse market is that it has a lot of spaces for parking cars. More importantly cars parked are relatively safe compared to other places in Nigeria. Personally, I have driven to Wuse market countless times- over the years and have not had a single incident in this direction. The only thing that has happened was the authorities challenging the spot I parked and asking me to re-park. I have also had to pay a fine once, which I didn't like, because no one guided me when I was parking. Sometimes the parking lot is usually filled up. Hence, the authorities need to be always be available for assistance. Besides, note also that when you go the market with a vehicle, you would have to pay a gate fee before you will be allowed into the market. That should be for maintenance and running cost. I truly hope they put the money to good use, since Wuse market is a busy market all...
