Ignore previous reviews. This place used to be good, not anymore.
This is your typical used to be place. It was a decent restaurant 10-15 years ago. Now its decayed to a pure disaster. The quality of food is extremely bad.
As the kitchen is visible from the dining area, you can see that its a one person show doing it all. An old lady, preparing food for multiple people at the same time. This includes the pizza oven, the barbecue grill and all other appliances. It looks sad just when you see it.
The price is extremely high for the bad food you get. In Skopje you can get much better food at 1/10 the bill you would pay here. Its not surprise that there was literally no one else in the restaurant. I arrived after work on a Friday.
As for the personal experience. I ordered seafood pasta. The pasta was not cooked, the seafood was not fresh at all and the sauce used is the cheapest one you get in the market.
To add to this, when the waiter saw that I just had a bite, asked me if its not fresh. When I told him its really bad, he didn't care. As if like its an answer he gets all the time. He gave me the full bill to pay. Didn't explain the situation, didn't say sorry, nothing. Pure ignorance.
Avoid it at all costs. You are better of grabbing a pack of chips at the mini-market...
Read moreI recently visited Restaurant "Olive" in Skopje and I have to say, it was a fantastic experience. The restaurant is situated in a great location and has a lovely atmosphere, with comfortable seating and tasteful decor.
The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure that we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The menu was extensive and offered a wide variety of dishes to choose from, all of which were beautifully presented and delicious. We particularly enjoyed the seafood platter, which was fresh and flavorful.
In addition to the excellent food and service, the prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food and overall experience. I would highly recommend Restaurant "Olive" to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Skopje. It's definitely one of the top restaurants in the area and well...
Read moreWhat a fantastic meal and place. All the food was delicious and well presented. Even the bread (flat pizza style) was prepared and cooked there and then. We each had a different meat dish and these were faultless all cooked well and flavoursome and yet were also quite light and summery. Desert was selected from a range of tarts that I thought would be dull but no far from it. These were again well made tasty and presented with a flourish. Our waiter was helpful and spoke very good English. OK it was expensive for Macedonia but we felt was still tremendous value. 2 courses for 3, quality bottles of local wine with both courses and some beer for just over 4K MKD. It's not in Skopje central but well worth...
