Simsim Sushi & Wok — Restaurant in Bærum

Been going here for 10 years but won’t again. We used to like SimSim (ok price for ok sushi) until they sold us tempura maki rolls full of rotten avocado, and especially not after the awful customer service we got for complaining about it.

When I called to complain I got an earful, and was told if I want any refund I have to return the food. I said no as it was a 20 min drive away.

Was then told angrily she would come to collect the food and give me cash. And despite being willing to drive to collect the rotten avocado, she refused to bring fresh maki instead. Seriously??

Eventually offered money back if I order again - not what I wanted but gave up. After 2 months I decided to try again and they did give me a 50% discount. When I tried to explain how it would have been better for me as a customer if they gave some refund last time, she instantly got heated and started shouting at me in the shop, telling me no one ever complained before me (reviews here suggest otherwise).

When I said I’d post a bad review if this is how they treat customers, she came chasing after to take my food away!

Incredible customer service! Save yourself and choose any of the better places nearby. We won’t buy...

Reasonable price for takeaway. This place is cheaper than other sushi places in Sandvika and the sushi tastes OK. I enjoyed the tempura sushi from a la carte menu.

Weekday takeout menu (Monday - Thursday 16 pieces of sushi for 100 Kr) is cheap. However, the sushi (sipcy salmon and tempura) didn't taste so good as the ones from a la carte menu.

I guess, parking is free behind the building...

The food is ok. But the customer service sucks. Bad attitude amongst the waiters. The waiter serving me had an attitude I've never experienced before. I will never set foot...
