Pincho Nation Fredrikstad — Restaurant in Fredrikstad

Pincho Nations left us disappointed when it came to the food. Most of the dishes failed to meet our expectations and were comically small, even for tapas. The only dish that managed to impress us was the plank beef.

However, the service wasn't much better. The only positive thing we can say is that they served popcorn when we arrived. After we were seated we had the feeling that we had to fend for ourselves. From ordering on the app to getting our food and drinks, it was all up to the customers to pick up, while the servers were only there to greet and clean up. While this self-service concept may be part of their approach, it felt out of place and cumbersome, detracting from the overall dining experience.

Plank steak The Plank Steak, the one dish we considered good, delivered on flavor. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare and tasted delightful with the accompanying potato mash and béarnaise sauce.

Nduja The Nduja, served on a small pizza bread, was a disappointment. It had an overly sweet taste and lacked the distinct flavor of Nduja. The bread itself seemed to be dripping with honey or fat, which didn't complement the overall taste.

Chicken taco The Chicken Taco left much to be desired. Its overpowering dressing overshadowed the other flavors. The tortilla seemed to be pre-made and was not even toasted.

Beef taco The Beef Taco suffered from an excessively sweet and artificial taste that didn't sit well with us.

Gnocchi The Gnocchi was acceptable, but the sauce had an artificial American cheese flavor that felt heavy on the palate.

Fried Cauliflower The Fried Cauliflower had a decent taste, although the breading was slightly too hard. The dressing added a touch of unwanted sweetness that didn't resonate with our taste buds.

Meatballs The Swedish Meatballs tasted like pre-made ones that had been reheated, lacking the freshness and homemade appeal we had hoped for.

The Penne Pasta had a fairly acceptable taste with its creamy mushroom sauce, although the pasta itself was slightly overcooked.

The Fish Chip was underwhelming, as it consisted of a reheated premade fish patty. We expected more from a restaurant.

The Sweet Potato Fries were decent, although they became a bit soggy after sitting for a while, still retaining some enjoyable flavors.

The Regular Fries were good, but nothing particularly outstanding or unique.

The Burger had a strange texture and a slightly grainy taste. Overall, it failed to impress us.

The Smashed Potatoes had a fine taste and a crispy texture, providing a satisfactory side dish option.

The Pizza Margherita was a letdown, as it seemed like a regular pizza bread with toppings, and the cheese tasted more like industrial cheese

Overall, our experience at Pincho Nations was disappointing. The dishes fell short of our expectations, both in terms of taste and portion size. The place opened 3 days ago and we eat there Sunday night as a family. we have eaten in Pincho in Oslo and been happy. Sadly I do not have many good things to say about the Fredrikstad location.

There are a lot of teething problems that come with any new local opening which is fair enough, but for the little time we spent there it was very obvious the owner of the location did not care about any of it. we waited over 20 minutes for our table to be ready (that we'd ordered for specific time) We waited over an hour for our food (which you have to pick up yourself) and after receiving it most of it was dry and cold.

Before leaving the owner had a disagreement with some other customers and from what we overheard the manager / owner seems to have a real GOD complex. The customers asked to talk about what happened and he was not interested and began swearing at them. it was shocking to hear the owner swearing at them, no matter what had happened. that is not how you...

Konseptet syntes jeg er veldig bra👍🏻

Kan være litt masete når det er så mange som må gå å hente mat og drikke selv. Det kan lett bli opptil flere turer for hver person siden man mest sannsynlig bestiller seg mat og drikke flere ganger. Med dette så kan det lett bli litt kaotisk og trangt, men går greit. Bare vær oppmerksom og gå forsiktig når man bærer planken med de forskjellige matrettene. (Da vi var der var det ganske mange barn til stede, men det gikk fint.)

Appen for å bestill mat og drikke er fin og lærer seg fort å bruke. Er oversiktlig over hva man har bestilt og hva regningen er på. Både for seg selv og hele bordet. Kan lettvint velge å betale hver for seg eller en regning for hele bordet.👍🏻

Det varierte litt på hvor lang tid maten ble fedig fra man bestilte til man fikk varsel på appen når maten var klar til å hentes. Maten var ikke så varm, men ok. Det smakte veldig godt! Og det som er fint er at man kan bestille seg så mye forskjellig siden rettene er så små. Dette syntes jeg er genialt!👍🏻

Er man fler rundt bordet og ønsker få spise samtidig, anbefaller jeg at det er en som bestiller for alle. Ellers så riskerer man å spise litt hver for seg. Det kan da være lettere å bestille drikke hver for seg og en tar seg av maten (i alle fall første runde). Samme kanskje når det gjelder desserten, at en person bestiller det samlet og man får spist det samtidig.

Ellers så er det veldig variert med hva som er på menyen både maten og drikke.👍🏻

Om jeg vil anbefale dette stedet? JA, så absolutt!👍🏻 Uansett om du bare er litt sulten, eller kanskje veldig sulten og har lyst å spise mer en bare en type matrett, eller kanskje lyst på en kul drink, med eller uten alkohol, eller bare en dessert.. eller to😝 Man burde prøve Pincho Nation minst en gang! Mest sansynlig blir det nok ikke bare denne ene gangen😉

MEN husk å reserver bord. Jeg trur det er det lurest. For stedet virker veldig pupulært, og det har det god grund til å være.

Har jeg et lite ønske, så kunne det vært litt mer luftig og bedre plass. For det kan være litt trangt dessverre. Og det underste servings hylla kunne blitt hevet 1-2cm for at man kunne ha drinkene under planken hvor maten står på for å utnytte plassen på bordet litt bedre.
