Kirkeparken — Attraction in Fredrikstad

Very nice park in the sentrum. The large playground makes Kirkeparken the children's favorite. There is life and movement in the play equipment every single day. The park part closest to the cathedral was laid out in 1880-1883 and is Fredrikstad's oldest public park. At the beginning of the 20th century, the park was extended south to the part called the Triangle. The music pavilion holds concerts, and there are several associations that play and dance weekly...

Dette kontra mange andre flotte parkområder rundt omkring i vårt land Man kunne som et ekesempel stimulert til mer kulturelle "events", da det i parken er plassert en scene som store deler av året står ubrukt. Her bør det vel kunne være åpning for å ha både musikk og kunstutstillinger og annet gøy som beriker vårt...
