Will write this in English, Lillehammer is dependent on tourists. 10 July 2021, ordered a blue cheese hamburger, oh, dear the burger came without blue cheese. I had to wait and result the food was half cold.
17 September 2021, I thought maybe an off day last time. I was still sceptible, the 10 of July is not the first time I have been "slightly" disappointed. The inside was quite full and was told I could order and sit outside. 25 minutes later the order was on the way. In that time about 10-15 people left and there might have been a table inside for me. No one asked if I would like to sit inside. By the way same order as last time. Waiting 25 minutes was bad enough. To my horror, the bearer of my order, stood in the entrance and had been "empolyed" as a tourist guide. 3-4 minutes standing there chatting away to a non paying customer with my order, outside..... Even with the "corona" restrictions this is unacceptable. The distance between the person talking to the server was too close and other people going by into the pub, completely out of order. No apology from the server, and on top of everything no knife or fork to eat my food. The food was ok, but the burger itself was rather small I thought and the chips portion the same, with the price nearing kr. 300,- , not good value at all, I think. I did not want to complain, thinking that in afterthought the server would be aware of what had happened when my knife and fork was bought to me, (had to ask myself for that as well), no reaction. The location is their main advantage and the inside is very nice. The food is nowhere near "Gastro".
Stay away, it's a tourist trap, I would recommend Brooklyn in Kirkegt. the location might not look top notch, but the food is excellent with good portions, far cheaper than Heim. I will be eating my blue cheese burger there from now on and will have a beer at a another...
Read moreCame in on a Thursday evening. There was a good atmosphere but it wasn't packed Ordered the local salami from the snacks as a starter. It was tasty but i was missing some bread with it. I eventually ordered some focaccia and alioli, and got two tiny slices of stale bread, (the kind you usually get for free in many places) Still, the salami was good, the beers were lovely, (although i got the beer halfway through my starter). For my main course i went for the entrecote, served with seasonal veggies, small potatoes and barinaise sauce. I ordered my steak cooked rare, and it was borderline medium-well, big dissappointment. The veggies and sauce were amazing though. Eventually, as i was nearly done, a young waitress asked me if the food was nice, (no one had bothered to check on the starter). I told her that steak was way overcooked and she just agreed. I wasnt hoping for any compensation as the meat was still tasty, even if i would have preferred it less cooked. What i do hope is that she let the kitchen know. After waiting for a while for someone to clear my plate and offer me dessert, my plate is cleared at about 22.10. I ask if there is any nice dessert choice, just to be informed that the kitchen is closed. They could offer me crisps though, which I declined.
I was disappointed, as I'd eaten here before. They serve amazing burgers and have a nice selection of beers Next time i will stick to the burger, or try their asian bbq baby back ribs 🤤
The lighting makes the steak look way pinker than it was, but it's the best I could get
Free popcorn was a plus
Will return, as I enjoyed their burger in the past, but won't have steak here again And even though its mire if a beer bar, they could revise the...
Read moreThis cool bar restaurant with retro decor is a hip place to be in Lillehammer. Our group of 10 arrived at our 8pm reservation and were seated to enjoy free popcorn. After ordering lemon spritz, local beers, and white wine. The staff informed us of unfortunate situation. The chef had to be rushed to the hospital. Two employess took time to apologize for the kitchen challenge. They said that they could serve drinks at this time and recommended a few other places. We appreciate their courtesy and honesty in managing the situation. Great drinks and popcorn. Very impressed with their classy way to handle the kitchen problem. I want to come back and try the seafood soup and others are hoping for fish and chips, bangers & mash. All kids get ice cream for dessert. The menus list mains, classics, kids menu. They have an alcohol menu and a non alcohol menu. All menus are card stick or laminated and readable. All items are marked for ingredients for 21 potential allergens. 5 stars for menu allergens listings and great...
