Baker Hansen Strømmen — Restaurant in Lillestrøm

Baker Hansen makes delicious cakes. I highly recommend their carrot cake or the lactose free cheese cakes. The customer service offerings unfortunately do not match the quality of their products. I’ve always supported young talent. But the lack of problem solving skills or the ability to think outside the box is absent here. Perhaps it could be leveraged by having adults at the service counter. Cakes are, in my opinion, best transported in the cartons they were originally transported in, to the bakery. The same rationale apply when delivering cakes to customers that chose to pick up the cakes themselves. Twice I’ve ordered cakes and both times, lactose free cakes don’t come in cartons. The first time, I was told, the cartons were thrown away. But then they reappeared when I wanted to cancel the order. I just hope the cartons didn’t come out from the trash. The bakery is not all that bad though. They offer plastic bags instead, which wobble around in the car during transport. And a bad idea if you’re trying to hide it in the rear boot of the car for those without frunks of course. Regardless, plastic bags are rather terrible options for the environment or transportation of cakes that cost over 500 NOK. My objective and I hope this rating helps the bakery improve on this rather small but important issue as I still do intend to buy cakes from Baker Hansen Strømmenstorsenter in future as long as they come in suitable, transportable environment friendly...
