Sabrura Sticks & Sushi — Restaurant in Lillestrøm

I ordered takeaways from Sabrura, so we decided to go for the buffet on Saturday evening, which turned out to be a disappointment. My baby turned 4 months old, so my husband and I went there to celebrate the day. However, the food was nothing in comparison to my previous orders. The sushi was not fresh at all and became so dry that it was hard to chew at times. The wasabi seemed to have been kept for a very long time, losing its kick. The dumplings became very hard. Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality of the food. Perhaps it was Saturday and it got crowded, so we had to wait a lot for the food to be refilled. I visited this restaurant during lunchtime. There weren’t many guests, but the buffet was almost empty. When I mentioned it to the staff, their response was dismissive: “That’s all we have, sorry.” For nearly 700 kr for two people, that felt very disappointing.

The sushi was poorly made and fell apart easily. The salmon 🍣 on top tasted lower quality—honestly worse than the cheapest Norwegian salmon.

This Sushi buffet in Lillestrom was like finding hidden treasure on our 10-day visit to Norway! The food was excellent, the atmosphere inviting and we were warmly greeted and served by the owner, Lotte, who creates a great place to enjoy lunch or dinner with a partner, friends or with the family. The buffet offers great value for the price and can be accompanied by a glass or bottle of wine, excellent beer or non-alcoholic drink options.
