We discovered this restaurant by happenstance. We ate there last night and again this night. The Kampen Bistro combines excellence in all aspects of dining; menu inventiveness, combination of ingredients to complement and contrast, perfect preparation and cooking to effect "doneness"/presentation. Tonight's Hake fish with lobster/mussel sauce was exemplary, a meal baseline to which few chefs equal. This restaurant, quiet and unassuming with cheerful, professional staff has few equals on the basis of taste and value. A charming, plain and cozy place to eat, and/or drink. The food is always tasty, with som extra features, and the size of the portions may vary, sometimes a bit small. Nice staff, but on more than one occation it takes too long time.The availability of the menu and wine menu is a bit so so.
