Damai — Restaurant in Sandnes

Probably my expectations were too high for this place. Food was tasteless. We ordered quite many different dishes and none of them tasted good. Maybe dumplings were good but nothing will surprise you. Edamame was just wit a little bit chilli powder on it, miso soup tasted nothing but the water with spring onion. We asked is there any hot rolls so we ordered what the waiter told us and lobster Maki. None of them were fried. No soya, no ginger, no wasabi, nothing was served with this meal. We got everything when we already finished our meal. Sushi taco sounded as well something great to try, but it's just an a good idea but doesn't work as it supose to. No taste, especially one with salmon. I am not even said that prices are waaaaaay to high for this type of food and serving. Very very...

They dare serve food that you can't quite place what it is. I commend this attitude! I liked the the taste of everything i had (dumplings and a couple of the sushi tacos). The items look very different, but tastes familiar. BUT with little twist. I don't know how to explain it. It's playful and fun food, and the waiter is also a kind and delightful person. I got the impression that it was a family operation, and i liked that. Keep it up! Sandnes needs you, Damai!...

Food is perfect, service is perfect, atmosphere is perfect.

Amazing food, amazingly friendly staff and atmosphere makes u feel like you're in the middle of a nice Japanese restaurant in japan.

Unfortunately we forgot to take a picture of the Japanese mango ice dessert but even that was very refreshing and perfect.

Simply perfect on all counts.
