Well well well....where do I start. I suppose it makes sense to start with the price. Even by Norway’s standards, the prices on the menu were a complete joke. We’re talking £17 for a burger (not even sure if they use beef...horse, perhaps?) Anyway, despite having drawn my own conclusions of the restaurant after choosing something from the sticky, greasy plastic menu, I was prepared to have my opinion changed by the meal that would arrive in 10 mins time. 30 mins later, my suspicions were confirmed. The skinny bun-free burger would have at least looked ok if the chef hadn’t gone all artsy and dumped a pile of fake guacamole on top of it. Unnecessary amount of slop. On to the burger itself...I have size 12 feet and - while I got value for money with a size 12 patty - the texture was like eating the sole of my trainer after searching for the northern lights for 5 hours. Equally cold in temperature as well. Perhaps it was the way the meal was plonked down in front of me by the waitress, but my mind was made up from the start and, after a couple of bites, I simply had to push the plate to one side (which I never ever do with food, especially if the purpose is to fill up for a flight back to London) and accept that O’Leary’s will never receive a penny of my cash again. Good job with the menu - it clearly entices hungry diners stuck with few options in Tromso airport - but I would class it as dalight...
Read moreWe are flying at 7 so got the airport to eat dinner at 5 we arrive at Olearys to eat my friend goes to order with no knowledge of any time to wait for food, I then go and told the kitchen is shut at the peak of dinner this is truly disgraceful being one of two restaurants in the airport they can’t handle half a restaurant of people who have already ate or ordered the man I spoke to assuming the manager really should be able to manage and cope with this amount of people and not close a kitchen at peak dinner time and just inform there is a wait this should be looked into as was not good customer service at all. I had to go to a shop for dinner instead not...
Read moreOrdered Garlic Parm wings and they came with 2 of the most minuscule pieces of celery ( about 1” x 1/4” each ) and it was served with a Norwegian aioli type sauce, not garlic parm! Ordered a side of onion rings and got 3 small onion rings ( ridiculous for the price ). My nachos were stale chips and they only gave a small amount of pico de gallo for the large amount of stale chips and a small side of guacamole. There was supposed to be sour cream with it but that did not show up on the plate. They gave us 1 napkin for the two of us and had to ask for another. O’Leary’s should be ashamed that their name is associated with this place in a busy...
