After moving from Côte d’Ivoire to Oman, I was so happy and excited to discover that Em Sherif is also here, because in Côte d’Ivoire it was one of my absolute favorite restaurants. Their food, quality, quantity, and taste were always exceptional, and on top of that, the service was always spot-on. I used to go almost every weekend, and it always felt special. That’s why I was really looking forward to visit Em Sherif in Oman. But honestly, after my first visit, I felt a little disappointed. I didn’t want to judge too quickly, so I decided not to write a review then and give it a second chance. Unfortunately, after my second dinner here just two days ago, my feelings remain the same. The food was very average in taste, and the portion sizes did not match the price I was honestly shocked... Yes, the service here is still very good, but I think the management needs to really look into the kitchen and see where improvements can be made in terms of improving the taste. For example, the kibbeh was very ordinary and lacked pine nuts, which are an essential part of the dish. Even the shawarmas didn’t live up to expectations. Overall, it was a disappointing experience compared to the Em Sherif I loved so much in Côte d’Ivoire. I truly miss the taste, the quality, and the...

I recently dined at Em Sherif Restaurant in St. Regis Al Mouj, and it was a remarkable experience. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was exceptional. The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, offering stunning views that make it perfect for a special evening out.

The menu is a culinary delight, showcasing authentic Lebanese flavors with a modern twist. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The mezze selection was outstanding, particularly the hummus and kibbeh, which were fresh and perfectly seasoned. For the main course, the mixed grill was succulent and cooked to perfection.

The service was impeccable—attentive without being intrusive. The staff ensured that every detail was taken care of, making us feel valued as guests.

Although it is on the pricier side, the quality of food, service, and atmosphere makes it worth every penny. I highly recommend Em Sherif for anyone looking to enjoy an unforgettable dining experience in Muscat.

Would definitely...

During our stay at the St. Regis Hotel, we dined at the restaurant and encountered an unfortunate experience. Initially, we were refused entry as we did not have a reservation, despite the restaurant being completely empty at the time. After some insistence, we were reluctantly accommodated under the condition that we vacate our table within an hour. The staff’s demeanor during this interaction was unwelcoming and lacked professionalism.

While the food was well-prepared and flavorful, the portions were quite small and did not justify the high pricing. Additionally, the service was average at best, which was disappointing given the restaurant’s reputation and setting.

Upon leaving, we noticed that more than half the tables remained unoccupied, raising questions about the earlier reservation policy. Overall, this was not an experience I would choose to repeat...

Em Sherif offers an exceptional Lebanese dining experience, located within the luxurious St. Regis Hotel. The menu is a celebration of authentic flavors, and every dish we tried exceeded expectations. The shish tawooq was perfectly grilled, the fattoush salad was fresh and vibrant, and the chicken shawarma wrap was flavorful and satisfying. The hummus was creamy and rich, a true standout. Additionally, the waraq enab (stuffed grape leaves) was absolutely delicious, with a perfect balance of tangy and savory flavors. The atmosphere is both elegant and welcoming, creating the perfect setting for a relaxed yet refined meal. The staff were warm, attentive, and added to the overall enjoyment of the evening. For an authentic Lebanese culinary journey in a sophisticated ambiance, Em Sherif is a must-visit!
