Started off strong with the starters, and fumbled a little bit with the main course.

I am gonna start with some criticism and say that the music is somewhat quite loud. I had trouble communicating with the person sat LITERALLY right next to me. Sincerely hope they reduce the volume.

The staff?

Karma, Pedro, and Dilleen (I hope I got your name right), thank you for a wonderful experience! Seriously, we genuinely appreciate the professional, courteous, and kind service you provided. You truly are the reason we are going to revisit Hakkasan so much sooner, than later.

The food?

The starter, specifically the duck salad, and the prawn fritters were both BEYOND incredible! It actually ranks higher than the London branch, which I have been to, and that is saying something.

However...

The main courses just flop so hard, I was shocked by the contrasting difference between the portion, and quality of the food. The rice was quite bland, the Mongolian beef was unfair in terms of the portion, and the Peking duck seemed undercooked with little to no flavor. Especially when comparing it to the duck that was served in the salad, it truly makes you say: "What happened?"

On a lighter note, the drinks we ordered were great. Personally, I had the virgin passion fruit mojito, and it was good, I do recommend it.

The price... hurts.

Do remember that this is a fancy place, which is part of a fancy hotel. So, you will be paying an arm & a leg, but if you choose correctly, you will enjoy the experience.

Overall, I am looking forward to going again and trying out the many other items on the menu. I have high hopes that the good food, does outweigh the slightly disappointing choices I made during that...

We recently visited and experienced the Hakkasan restaurant located at the St. Regis Hotel in Muscat. First and foremost, I would like to extend my gratitude to the entire team for their excellent work. A special thanks to our waiter, Thilina, and sommelier, Mr. Muhammet, for their warm, helpful, and professional service. Additionally, I would like to thank the restaurant’s general manager, chef, and the entire team for their humble welcome, attentiveness, and professionalism.

Among our experiences, the signature cocktail—a gin-based drink with cucumber, lemon-lime, and ginger water infused with a rose aroma—was exceptional. It was refreshing, delicious, and a perfect appetite stimulant. Every dish we tried was carefully prepared, appealing both to the eye and the palate, making every bite a delightful indulgence.

As someone who has often been disappointed by fusion and fine dining restaurants in terms of taste, I am genuinely happy to share that this was not the case here. The flavors were exquisite, and the experience was truly satisfying. I would also like to extend my congratulations to the pastry chef—two of the desserts I had were among the best I have ever tasted.

The service and presentation were flawless, and I found no major faults. However, I would like to share two minor observations that came to mind. First, I recommend upgrading the toothpicks to Jordan brand for a more premium touch. Second, when serving café lattes in Irish glasses, either avoid using such glasses or provide a suitable latte spoon, as the small tea spoon provided makes it difficult to stir the drink.

Thank you once again for an outstanding...

A Luxurious Cantonese Experience – Worth Every Bite!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Hakkasan Muscat, and I must say—it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment you step inside, the ambiance is mesmerizing, with dim lighting, elegant décor, and a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.

The menu is a perfect blend of traditional Cantonese flavors with a modern twist. We started with the dim sum selection, which was incredibly delicate and flavorful. The crispy duck salad was another highlight—perfectly balanced with pomelo, pine nuts, and a light dressing. For the main course, we tried the golden soft-shell crab and black pepper beef, both of which were absolutely divine. The portions were just right, and each dish was beautifully presented.

Service was impeccable! The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready to recommend the best dishes based on our preferences. They even took the time to explain the ingredients and preparation methods, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Of course, a meal at Hakkasan isn’t complete without dessert, and the chocolate and hazelnut parfait was the perfect sweet ending.

Overall, Hakkasan Muscat delivers on taste, ambiance, and service, making it one of the best fine-dining experiences in the city. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply looking to indulge in world-class Cantonese cuisine, this is the place to be!

Highly...
