Extremely Disappointed: A Serious Drop in Standards

I’ve been a regular guest for nearly two years and initially loved coming here for brunch—the food quality, cleanliness, and service were excellent. However, my recent visits have been deeply disappointing.

During my latest visit, I found live cockroaches in the bread basket, which is absolutely unacceptable for any food establishment. When I informed the staff, the response was shockingly casual—they simply said, “Sorry, we’ll change it,” with no sense of urgency, accountability, or further action.

Beyond this serious hygiene issue, the overall food quality has declined drastically over the past few months. Even more concerning is that the staff either don't notice or don't seem trained to understand the importance of food safety and customer feedback.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously. There’s still potential to recover what once made this place special—but that will require immediate improvements in cleanliness, food quality, and staff awareness. (I missed take the photos of cockroaches running otherwise, I would have posted...

I had worst experience with Lal Qila Oman

I called for reservation for Iftar Buffet so first of all the didn’t respond my call but after some time a lady called me so she said let me check the availability and give call back but unfortunately I didn’t get any call back.

I called again so they told me that it’s already overbooked so we can’t book for same day so I asked them to book for the Dinner buffet which starts from 9 PM.

9 PM once I reached with my family there so we waited in reception so no one was there even the staff was working but they don’t care if customer is waiting on the reception.

Anyhow we went inside checked the food so it was all leftover from the Iftar buffet so immediately we returned back without having dinner.

I deeply regret choosing Lal Qila for our Eid buffet dinner. Despite noticing recent negative reviews, I decided to give it a chance and hosted my family friends there—big mistake. Our reservation was for 7:30 PM, but we were told an hour later that the food was finally ready. When we did get to eat, it was incredibly disappointing. Nothing tasted fresh—fish, prawns, ribs all seemed like they were cooked long before today. The soup, biryani, pulao, and even the naan were served cold, as if they came straight from the fridge. To top it off, I ended up with food poisoning the same night. Absolutely unacceptable. I wouldn’t recommend this...
