Orient Restaurant in Muscat truly impressed me. It served one of the finest fish dishes I’ve ever had. The flavor was amazing—perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spices. The fish was completely free of bones, well-marinated, and melted in my mouth like butter with the very first bite.

The Bukhari rice served alongside the fish was also full of flavor and complemented the dish perfectly. For fish and mutton lovers, this place is a must-visit. Their mutton shuwa was equally delicious—the meat was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection.

Hands down the best shuwa in muscat, Oman! The best part of the restaurant is they source fresh local meat for their food and the taste depicts how serious they’re into the quality of the food they serve.

The restaurant is big and can accommodate many people at a time.

I’ve tried their shuwa multiple times and haven’t been disappointed even once. Have had their grilled chicken also and it’s good too. I personally prefer mutton shuwa with kabuli rice - it’s got perfectly marinated flavourful mutton that’s fall of the bone and is not chewy at all.
