Khiva Revolving Restaurant — Restaurant in Chaklala Cantonment

A nice restaurant located in phase 4 commercial area of bahria town. This can be accessed from main GT road as well as from gulrez housing scheme. Its located at floor 6 and 7 of the building, rest of the floors have other restaurant etc. Floor 6 has indoor sitting. Floor 7 has outdoor dining arrangements. On the 7th floor another staircase leads to revolving restaurent. The revolving part is a small sitting area. Here only a'la carte order is served, buffet is not available. Floor 7 does have buffet. It contains two rice dishes mostly pulao and biryani, chicken quorma, chicken Manchurian, spaghaties, chicken quorma, daal etc. Fish fried, chicken bbq and seekh kabab. Desserts include fruit custard and kheer. Food is ok, can be categorized as above average. Ambience is ok, view from 7th floor and revolving floor is good at night. Very good location and great view of Bahria Town. It has three sitting areas, one on fifth floor, one on sixth floor and than on the top is the revolving portion with a panoramic view of Rawalpindi city. If you are a view fanatic, this restaurant provides one of the best view in Rawalpindi.

Food standard, it is just average. You might in fact be disappointed. We ordered mutton rosh, chappal kabab, Afghani mix platter and mutton karahi, along with the special soup. The food was too oily and tasted just ordinary. We couldn't finish what we ordered. It's not a cheap restaurant and it will cost you PkR 1200 to 1800 per head. In this money, one has much better options available. Service standard and presentation is good. There is not dedicated parking area and one has park the care in the general parking of the commercial area which might be a problem...

We sat in the revolving portion. Good view but it was very congested and dark. You couldn't see your food properly. The overall standard of cleanliness is poor, which includes that of the toilet (they have only one). The staff is not at all trained how to treat the guests. They don't even know how to prepare the table before serving the meal. One had to ask time and again for one thing, very slow response. The standard of cooking was okay but eating out doesn't include food only. The whole experience of eating in this restaurant was below average. I am sure the kitchens would be unclean as well.
