Ambiance & Service: CafĂŠ Aylanto offers a warm, cozy, and inviting atmosphereâperfect for relaxed, extended conversations. The staff stands out for their professionalism and attentiveness, significantly enhancing the overall dining experience.
Beef Dishes: ⢠Decked Beef (8.4/10) and Prime Tenderloin (8.2/10) are standout options for steak lovers, juicy and cooked to perfection. (opt for medium cook)
Chicken Dishes: ⢠The Herb Mushroom Chicken (8.5/10) and Tarragon Chicken (8.2/10) shine with flavor and tenderness. ⢠Parmesan Chicken (8.2/10) and Cordon Bleu (7.9/10) are also solid picks. ⢠Milanese Chicken (5/10), however, falls shortâtoo basic for its price point.
Pastas & Pizzas: ⢠Fettuccine Pasta (7.8/10) is creamy and rich, while the Fettuccine Truffle Pasta (8/10) adds depth with mushrooms. ⢠Ravioli (8/10) is a pleasant surprise, though the portion size could be more generous. ⢠Pizzas impressâespecially the Smoked Chicken Pizza (8.5/10) and the indulgent Four Cheese Quattro.
Sandwiches & Burgers: Average and adequate, but not a highlight.
Seafood: Not yet tried; no comments.
Drinks: ⢠Pina Colada (9/10) is a standoutâcreamy, refreshing, and consistently well-balanced.
Starters: By far the weakest part of the menu. ⢠Glazed Wings (6.9/10) are acceptable. ⢠Cheese Parcels (2/10) are a definite miss.
Pricing: On the higher side compared to similar establishments in Lahore, though justifiable for most mains and pizzas.
Conclusion: CafĂŠ Aylanto excels in beef and chicken entrĂŠes, as well as pastas and pizzas, with a strong European flair. If improvements are made to starters and sandwich options, it could easily become one of Lahoreâs top-tier fine...
Read moreI recently dined at this restaurant after hearing a fair bit of chatter about it, and while the experience wasnât terrible, it certainly wasnât memorable either. To start with, the ambiance is above average. The interiors are tastefully done, the lighting is warm, and the seating is comfortable. It feels like the kind of place where youâd expect a premium dining experience. Unfortunately, what follows after youâre seated doesnât quite live up to that first impression.
The menu variety is decent, with enough options across different cuisines to appeal to a broad audience. However, nothing on the menu feels particularly unique or inventiveâmost items are what youâd find at any mid-range restaurant. That alone wouldnât be an issue if the food delivered in other areas, but sadly, it falls short.
The taste of the dishes is above average, but it simply doesnât justify the very expensive prices. When youâre paying a premium, you expect bold flavors, creative presentation, or something that sets the restaurant apart. Instead, the food was just âgoodâ at best, which makes it difficult to overlook the steep cost. To make matters worse, the quantity of food is very limited. Portion sizes are noticeably small, leaving you unsatisfied unless you order multiple dishesâwhich of course only adds to the bill.
Service was passable, but given the pricing, one would expect an elevated level of attentiveness that wasnât consistently present.
In the end, while this restaurant has a nice look and offers food that tastes fine, the value for money is simply not there. With so many better options available nearby, I wouldnât recommend going out of your way...
Read moreHonestly, if I could give ZERO stars, I would. Extremely disappointed with our experience. We had a 9:30pm Fatherâs Day dinner reservation and got there at 9:36 which is not too late. Still, we werenât seated until 10:07. What even is the point of a reservation?
Once we were seated, there were no table mats, no glasses, and we had to ask for menus. Like⌠why are we even here? To watch everyone else eat? The staff seemed way too busy attending other tables to even acknowledge ours.
Then came the disgusting glasses!! Yes, plural. I had to ask for mine to be changed twice because they smelled like rotten eggs. Absolutely foul.
Our food took almost an hour. People who came after us were already done eating and leaving, and we were still sitting there waiting. Unbelievable.
To top it off, my sister asked for a dinner spoon for her rice and the waiter brought her a teaspoon. A TEASPOON. What kind of a joke is this? Seems like they only know how to serve their regulars and couldnât care less about new or occasional customers.
Sorry, but me and my family are never stepping foot in Aylanto again. And trust me, Iâll be letting a lot of people know not to waste their time or money here.
If you canât run a restaurant properly, maybe just stick to serving your loyal money throwing crowd and leave the rest...
