Tried their hi tea on a saturday (8/12/18). Lets talk about their positives first. A lot number of dishes, snacks etc every member of family from any age group can find smthg to eat. And yes this is the only positive. Lemme share things that mine n some other families also dun like when we dine out First negative thing is diasastrous parking. The have very limited parking area. If its filled you have to park your car on main road .. yes i said Main road. No security . vulnerable for accidents, inconvinence to traffic on road. Second negative unconfortable seating. For buffet normally ppl spend 45 min yo 1.30 hrs. You need to have a comfortable seating arrangment if you want to enjoy ur food. They have chairs that u can easily find on any highway resturant . Yes those uncomfy dinning room chairs. But its meikong famous chinese restaurant not a low cost highway dhaba 3rd. All arrangment is in small halls4 like 4 to 5 small halls if ur sitting in hall 1 you have to cross 3 halls n they you will enter that hi tea food hall. In way is a small lobby where u have to be careful not to bump in others or stain someone s shirt with ur plate. Because its the usual 3ft lobby as in homes. Never saw this in anyother restaurant that u are doing so much effort to fill ur plate 4th. Bland taste .. nothing on menu was good. All stuff was below average and stale except soup. Either it was good or we were hungry dun know but we liked soup only n this was the only food we ate there. Neverthless tasted every single food from vegtable pakora to gajar ka halwa (taste like boiled carrots with sugar) shahjahani biryani (no taste) to halwa poori. Even pink tea was worst than i got from tea sellars on carts. No chinese food in hi tea menu . Not a demerit but it should because afterall its a chinese restaurant. If you are a food lover its not your place . If you are an ambience lover its again not your place . So better try your luck...
Read moreI recently enjoyed hi-tea at Me Kong, and the experience was truly delightful. From the flavorsome Pulao and Gol Gappy to the delectable Russian Salad, the taste was impeccable. The ambiance provided a peaceful and decent atmosphere, complemented by the restaurant staff's cooperation and politeness.
On my first visit, I explored their Special Mei Kong Soup, a Chinese delight that lived up to its reputation. The second time, I delved into the impressive Hi-Tea spread, savoring everything from the appetizing soup to the comforting tea that marked a satisfying end to the meal.
I rated Me Kong a solid 5* for its mouthwatering food and the staff's attentive service. The restaurant's atmosphere is indeed conducive to a pleasant dining experience, allowing guests ample time to relish their selections.
However, I would like to bring attention to the parking situation. The parking area tends to get congested, and I recommend the management consider expanding the parking space or hiring additional security guards. This concern leads me to give them 4*, hoping they address this matter for the safety and convenience of their patrons.
The Me Kong experience captivated me not just with its culinary delights but also with the courteous and attentive staff. Their willingness to listen, guide, and ensure maximum comfort elevated the overall dining atmosphere. The spacious environment allows guests the luxury of time to savor each bite without feeling rushed.
As my go-to spot for delectable Chinese cuisine, I eagerly anticipate Me Kong's response to the parking challenge. By expanding the parking area or enhancing security measures, they can further enhance the customer experience. With this consideration, my hope is that Me Kong continues to refine its offerings, making it an even more exceptional dining...
Read moreMy recent visit to Mei King in Rawalpindi left me with mixed feelings. While there were some aspects of the dining experience that were commendable, overall, it fell short of expectations.
Starting with the positives, the ambiance at Mei King is pleasant. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, and the decor is tastefully done, creating a welcoming environment for diners.
However, the positives were overshadowed by several drawbacks. Firstly, the service was disappointingly slow. Despite the restaurant not being overly crowded, it took an excessive amount of time for our orders to be taken and for the food to arrive at our table. This significantly dampened the overall experience.
Moreover, when the food did arrive, it was mediocre at best. The dishes lacked the authentic flavors I was hoping for, and some even tasted bland or undercooked. This was particularly disappointing considering the reputation Mei King holds in the area.
Additionally, the pricing seemed unjustified given the quality of the food and service provided. I felt that the value for money was not up to par with other dining establishments in the area offering similar cuisine.
In conclusion, while Mei King has potential with its pleasant ambiance, the slow service and mediocre food quality were major letdowns. With some improvements in these areas, Mei King could regain its footing as a go-to dining destination in Rawalpindi. However, based on my recent experience, I cannot wholeheartedly...
