OX & Grill Steakhouse - Bahria Food Street — Restaurant in Rawalpindi Cantonment

TL;DR Everything is great! Music could be better. It's very expensive.

OX & Grill's phase 7 branch has not disappointed since it has opened.

The food is great, they're famous for their steaks and for good reason. Chicken entrees, pastas, platters, fish, they all hit the spot. Sign of a good restaurant in my opinion, when all your dishes are made well.

If SPICY and SOUR are your thing do try the Maryland steak. It's amazing. OX & Grill Special is a close second.

The indoor ambience is dim and woody which I like but the place could really use better ventilation. The outdoor seating is excellent when the weather permits. Its elevated, well above street level unlike the other restaurants on that strip. So you enjoy a slightly better view but the main thing is you feel spearated and away from the traffic and cars passing by.

The music is like most other places, it's generic pop. Restaurants really ought to invest the little bit of time and effort coming up with a playlist that suits the foods and the ambience, like Asian Wok does. It makes a big difference.

So what's the catch? They charge a lot, more than other places of its calibur. A steak being 1,690rs with 16% gst on top is too much. To me this makes it a place that I would go to...

Was craving for a Steak and a good one that too nearby so me and my wife went to Ox Grill newly opened in Bahria Town Phase 7 near clock tower. As soon as we entered, the ambiance literally blown us away. The vibes were amazing and we already felt good about everything. We ordered Ox Grill special Steak and Fish and Chips.

Steak was superb, medium well, (always my preference). Tender, bit juicy (accordingly to my liking) and the home made sauce was amazing. Loved it.

Fish and chips too was out of this world. The thin layer of crust with a good size chunks of fish perfectly made, was just too good honestly.

To our surprise, Chef Zaheer came out and asked us about the food any preferences, likes and dislikes. It was actually so good to see a Chef coming out and asking customers. Good work Ox and Grill Family

Last but not least, Manager Mr. Waqas was too kind to introduce this new branch to us plus he gave us a Complementary Cake slice as well .. yaay!

Ox Grill is a wonderful edition and i hope they keep the standards high...

Staff was very courteous (from arriving till leaving). Chef himself came to ask if everything was in order and did we like the food or not.

Estimated time for food prep was given around 25 mins but it arrived early so that was a good surprise. Food quality and quantity both were amazing. Staff kept us updated with the time for drinks to arrive after the food. All the dishes were served hot. Food itself was very delicious and we all enjoyed it very much.

Pricing wise yeah it's bit pricier but depends on what you eat and ultimately it's worth it. Sitting arrangement were good and it was pretty much full at the dinner time (7:30). Call prior to arrival if you don't wanna wait.

Parking can be bit difficult as all restaurants in the area can be jam packed and parking is very limited especially for rush hours but they have valet parking so that can take care of the hassle for you.

Overall a time well spent in this establishment.
