Capital Restaurant in Melody, G-6, Islamabad, once a popular dining spot for locals, has unfortunately seen a significant decline in the quality of its offerings. The food, which was once praised for its rich flavors, now lacks both taste and freshness. During my recent visit, the dishes were poorly prepared, and some tasted as though they had been made with stale ingredients. The meals were bland, with no noticeable seasoning or authentic flavors.

A particularly disappointing aspect was the inconsistency in both texture and taste. The biryani was dry, and the chicken was rubbery, suggesting it had been either overcooked or reheated. Even basic curries were drenched in excessive oil, which masked what little flavor there was.

In addition to the subpar food, it’s evident that the restaurant lacks a proper system for overseeing the sourcing and handling of ingredients. There seems to be no visible check-and-balance process to ensure that the food served is fresh and prepared under hygienic conditions. This lack of oversight raises questions about whether the restaurant is adhering to essential health and safety regulations.

Moreover, hygiene standards at the restaurant were questionable, leaving concerns about the cleanliness of both the kitchen and dining areas. For a place that once enjoyed a strong reputation, Capital Restaurant now fails to meet even the most basic expectations for food quality. I recently dined at Capital Restaurant and unfortunately, my experience was less than satisfactory. We ordered the boneless fish, expecting a flavorful dish, but were disappointed to find it tasteless. I would rate it a mere 2/10.
