I’ve been a regular at Qutta Kettle in DHA 2 for a while, but I’ve had a concerning experience recently that I want to share to warn others, especially if you plan to pay your bill in cash. Last Friday, my friends and I paid our bill in cash without any issues. However, when they returned to the restaurant today, the staff claimed they never received payment, even though I was sure we had settled it.
There’s a major red flag here—the restaurant doesn't have cameras to verify payments, so there's no way to prove anything if there’s a dispute. I ended up driving all the way from Bahria to DHA to clear things up, but when I asked the waiter, he denied we had paid. After a heated conversation, I had no choice but to pay the bill again, just to avoid further drama.
It's really frustrating and disappointing, especially since I’ve been a loyal customer. I urge anyone visiting the restaurant to be cautious when paying in cash—keep track of your payments and ask for a receipt, as there's a chance you might be asked to pay again. It’s a stressful situation I’d rather avoid in the future, and I hope they resolve this issue to prevent it from...
Read moreI had a thoroughly disappointing experience at Quetta Ketli, DHA Phase 2. My friend and I visited for some tea and brought along food from outside. We fully intended to order tea and possibly more from the menu, but were surprised when the staff asked us to either not eat our food or leave the premises altogether. While we understand that outside food policies vary by establishment, the way it was communicated felt unnecessarily rude and inflexible.
To add to that, we were told we couldn’t sit in a certain area because it was “family seating only,” despite there being individuals and groups clearly not with families seated there at the same time. It came across as an excuse to have us vacate that spot.
Moreover, the pricing is excessive — over Rs. 450 for a cup of tea, which certainly isn’t justified by either the taste or the service quality.
Overall, the staff lacked basic courtesy, and the environment felt unwelcoming. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxed or...
Read moreAmbiance is great, the vibe is great, food isn't bad but the tea; it needs some serious improvement. It was good in the beginning but it's been a while it went downhill. We keep trying different tea each time to fine one that might be better than the rest but no luck so far. I tried ginger tea there was no taste of ginger, I tried cardamom tea there was no hint of cardamom. When Karak Chai got too bitter and milk went missing I switch to Doodh Pati after a couple of times the Doodh Pati started tasting just bad bitter; basically regardless of the tea you're ordering the all taste almost the same. Mind that I didn't go once or twice and got bad tea that can happen; I'm a regular customer. P.S. The only reason this place is still running well and attracting people is the absence of good place to sit for a cup of...
