We went to experience good desi food on the recommended if a few people. We had some guests over so thought let's take everyone out for a desi meal. We got there for 9pm and at this time there was just one other table of 5 that were just finishing their meals. we placed our order and the food arrived just an hour later. I personally had to chase up the food 4 times. on the restaurant floor there were also 3 staff who were just standing around and avoiding any contact with us knowing fully well that we have been waiting for a long time. Its a smallish restaurant and even IF the restaurant was fully occupied you wouldn't expect to wait an hour for the food.
The food arrived and apart from the butter chicken which was OK the rest of the food was sub-standard and definitely not worth the wait of an hour. Even when the food arrived it arrived in peice meals and not all together. some dishes arrived when we were all most finishing our meal.
I complained to the manager and staff and instead of accepting their mistakes they proceeded to advise us that everything is freshly made and it takes this time to make, If they had sold this story to someone who has NEVER eaten at a restaurant I would had expected their reasonings.
Needless to say we definitely wouldn't be visiting this place again and I would seriously advise others from visiting as imagine if they actually had another table to service what would had happened then.
Steer well clear away from this establishments folks.
Unfortunately I have to give 1 star and there is no option to give any stars at all as they are not deserving...
Read moreOn someone’s recommendation I went to try the super hyped Khoka with some friends and family. Biggest mistake! Ordered food came after 50 whole minutes and that too after chasing and asking them quite a few times. Please note there wasn’t a single person there at that time that is 9 in the evening . I would’ve seen it as a sign but no I was too determined and famished. So I waited and eventually the food came . Malai boti had a strange smell and not the pleasant one. Rest of the dishes butter chicken, white handi . Boneless handi and seekh kabab were average . And please also note that it’s one of the expensive desi place to eat just because they have steel plates and glasses and bunch of sultan Rahi era pictures and songs in the background. Totally and utterly disappointing and wrongly hyped place in my...
