Los Años Locos | Costa del Este — Restaurant in Juan Díaz

We had been loyal patrons at the San Francisco location for 12 years. Los Anos Locos was our "go to" for special occasions and important occasions. This time we went to the Costa del Este location for a birthday because the San Francisco location was closed. We ordered the most expensive steak entree at medium temperature. It arrived over cooked and dry, when mentioned to the manager on duty Carlos all he did was smile. At the next table a child of about 12 years started playing video games at highest volume on his phone. I asked the adult to please ask him to lower the volume and the adult refused and started to mock me and ensued to start an argument. The manager stood on the other side of the restaurant watching and would not intervene until I summoned. Their solution was to bring our check and escort us to the door. I would expect this sort of ambience in McDonalds or Chuck E Cheese, but not in an high end expensive restaurant where our bill was well over $200 for the two of us. I will not recommend Los Anos Locos to anyone ever again and have made sure to share this experience on all the websites and pages for tourists and ex-pats in Panama. I can honestly say this has been the best steak I have ever had. 🙌🥩

I had the New York strip steak with a grilled avocado and some yuca fries from @losalocos while visiting Panama. 🇵🇦

Los Años locos is a steakhouse that offers a great selection of some excellent meats, homemade pasta, fish and seafood.

Oh, and not to mention the wine selection, You can choose between more than three thousand bottles from around the world.🍷

I had the local Balboa beer with my steak and for dessert an Oreo cheesecake that was the perfect way to end a great meal.

Highly recommend this restaurant if you are a meat lover like myself and/or in Panama City, Panama and looking for somewhere to eat. 🍽🇵🇦🥩🍷

The food was excellent as usual. This time the service was fairly inattentive and we'll below standard and expectation. Refilling water but not for everyone, bringing cutlery replacement....not for everyone. Dined this evening and the $74 steak was terrible. Definitely not having steak there again.
