Several high end hotels near the PTY airport had very mixed reviews, so we chose Santa Maria though it was a little further out. The room, bed, robes, pool and staff were above and beyond. The breakfast buffet rivaled hotels in Europe (salmon, meats, a large variety of fruits, veggies, pastries and more). I’m but sure if that’s the usual spread or only in Sundays, but it was wonderful. The reception said they could not move us since the rooms were fully booked. After three failed attempts of repairing and remediating the problem, I asked for a dehumidifier which improved the problem slightly.
Hopefully this problem will be resolved before the next person checks...
