La Esquina — Restaurant in Huanchaco

The two starts are for the Venezuelan waiters that were working very hard the entire restaurant...and I saw only 2 people in the kitchen and one cook outisde by the grill. ...so it took for ever to get everything...The fish came out about one hour later...AND THEY FORGOT A FISH ORDER....SO THEY GAVE MY FISH TO ANOTHER TABLE! THE SALADS AND DRINKS CAME AFTER THE FISH AND THE SILVERWARE AFTER THAT...THE YUCA AND POTATOS I had to go get it myself ....VERY BAD EXPERIENCE...I was so scare to get sick because they had no staff to wash and clean the dishes..the waiters did it ...to make the limonade to serve us...and THE SALAD DRESSING was stored in a 2.lit plastic soda bottle. I am glad I am not sick...

Even though the food was ok, it wasn't really worth to pay 100 soles for a 40 soles fish, it didn't come with salad or anything special. Just a couple of chewy "yucas" we couldn't enjoy. It's definitely too pricey for the service or products they offer. The Ceviche was nice, but the portions were not generous enough for...

Don‘t come alone

The place is famous for selecting the fresh fish you wanna eat. However all fish was more than 1 kg and they offered me the fillet as an alternative. However the fillet is a very small piece of fish and thus very much overpriced compared to the other options on the menu....
